Dear EA and staff, your communication is terrible
The communication on the status of the rollout and what is being done to fix it is non-existent. Why are we not getting updates on what is being done to fix the issues in the game? You persist with continuing the rollout but players are left in the dark. I also suggest either the closure of this forum if you are not going to have some system of responding to players. No FAQ has been created to provide responses to frequently asked questions. This is a disaster. Most of the original Maxis was dissolved for this very reason. But honestly I am not surprised, a surviving portion of the original Maxis was once known as Maxis Helsinki. Is someone able to tell those of us who are not "in the know" - how are Maxis Manors and Maxis HQ impacted by the Services 2.0 update? I apologize for creating a new thread, but I am unsure if this question should go into the feedback thread or not. I have 4 Maxis Manors and 3 Maxis HQ's and I'd really hate to have to stop using them because of this rubbish update that nobody asked for. Should I just delete my last city? I haven't deleted my last remaining city simply because I've sank a lot of money into it, and this update has pretty much make me feel like I flushed my money down a toilet. Feedback to Developers: your methods of communication are completely terrible. Apparently (saying apparently because my last city hasn't received the services 2.0 yet) some fully upgraded service buildings have been dropped into our stored buildings - if this is so, you could have told us and saved yourselves and all of us a headache, and while it's extremely inconvenient, there may have been way less complaints. You could have also explained how Maxis HQ and Maxis Manors would be impacted by the Services update. I think a better, more fitting name, for the developer studio would be "Ebenezer Studios" or "Scrooge Studios". The game should be renamed to "Grinch City Build It". I am suggesting these names because of the wonderful holiday spirit of the season where players have to produce a bunch of seasonal items that don't appear in our storage and cannot be sold, just to convert to seasonal currency at paltry rates to redeem expensive seasonal buildings nobody is going to use for more than week in most cases. I think these names would be wonderful and capture the spirit of the state of the game and to signify the EA grinch stole christmas and gave us an app update with buggy features and overpriced stuff nobody wants.Solvedf2aj5m0efycy10 days agoSeasoned Ace84Views6likes1CommentHow long does it take for Cozy Homes to give out coins?
Do they have to be in your capital? Do they do so before they are fully developed? Do they work in Frosty Fjords? Nothing from mine in almost 12 hrs. They are not fully developed yet. Why is there zero information about any of the above? Where is Santa's Airport? Where's his castle, where is everything else mentioned in SimCity BuildIt - Update 1.72.0 - 04/12/2025? Recently posted by EA_Lanna and annoyingly locked as per usual. I've completed Mayor's Pass, there's no Santa' Castle to collect. Where or what are Cozy Homes? Same question regarding Frosty Coins and making special items? Since achieving tier 38 in the Mayor’s Pass Track, I can’t see my progress on the ‘weekly cap’ scale. I can’t see what the reward is for tier 39 either - it’s blank. As I’m completing my assignments, I can’t see the mayor’s pass points increase so I am getting the points - I just can’t see how far along I am in the tier or what I receive for tier 39. Greetings, Mayors, and welcome to Services 2.0! Here’s everything you need to know about the new update. Services 2.0 brings upgradeable Service buildings to SimCity BuildIt! This new system makes managing your city’s services more strategic, interactive, and rewarding. ℹ️ Notice: This will be gradually activated for all players. If you don’t see the new features yet, don’t worry—they will be available to everyone soon! The rollout is happening in stages, so keep an eye out for updates in your game. This ensures a smooth experience for all Mayors as the new system goes live. During the rollout, any negative effects from service coverage—like abandoned buildings or unhappy citizens—will be temporarily paused, so you can explore Services 2.0 without worry. Plus, we’ll be sending out special gifts to help you get started and make the transition even sweeter! Here’s a step-by-step guide to how it works: 1. Unlocking Service Buildings As you level up your city, you’ll unlock different types of service buildings—like Fire, Police, Health, Water, Power, and more. Each service type starts with the smallest building, and bigger, more powerful buildings become available as your city grows. This means you’ll always have new options to keep your citizens happy and safe. 2. Placing Service Buildings When you place a service building, it starts at upgrade level 1. Each Area Service Building has a coverage area (the part of your city it can serve). Capacity Service Buildings tell you how many Residential Zones (RZs) the building can support within its coverage area. If you have more homes than your building’s capacity, some won’t be fully served! 3. Upgrading Service Buildings Now, you can upgrade most service buildings! Upgrading increases their capacity, so they can serve more homes. Upgrades cost Simoleons for standard service buildings, and other in-game currencies for special service buildings. You’ll see upgrade stats in the building’s info panel and tooltips, so you can plan ahead. 4. Managing Coverage and Capacity Here’s the trick: every home in your city needs to be covered by a service building with enough capacity. If a service building’s capacity is maxed out, extra homes in its area won’t be served, which can lead to problems like abandonment. One home can be serviced by multiple service buildings —so make sure your upgrades and placements are strategic! 5. Bulldozing and Refunds If you need to reorganize your city, you can bulldoze the standard service buildings. You’ll get a partial refund based on the building’s level. Special service buildings can be stored but not bulldozed. 6. UI Feedback and Service Demand The game’s UI will help you manage your services. You’ll see icons and stats showing the service demand, so you know when it’s time to upgrade or add new buildings. In addition, use your city's Report Card to spot any issues! If something's wrong—such as homes not being served—you’ll see problem icons and receive guidance through the Report Card, making it easy to identify and resolve problems quickly. 7. Progression and Strategy As your city grows, service demand increases. You’ll need to keep upgrading and adding service buildings to keep up. Is anybody else's black friday event track not working? I completely forgot it existed until I got the last chance notification today. It's still showing zero but I've been progressing on the Nordic Nirvana event track. Was I supposed to purchase something to be able to access this feature? Edit: thank you for the replies! I just started playing earlier this year and this was the first time I've seen a bonus track like this. Hi, A few days ago I bought a building from the PVZ collection, but I haven't received it yet. I checked with Google and according to the payment, it's already been processed, but EA hasn't resolved the issue, and I don't know what to do because I need it to complete the Black Friday event to get the Service Tower. My land is foggy, as if I'm knocked down in a war. This happened last challenge as well. Is this a bug? Normally the weather changes relatively quickly but this went on 2 days last challenge and is the second day for this challenge. Very hard to get a good screenshot to submit. Hi, Yesterday I bought a few items for cash and the Black Friday event track reflected that by giving me plumbob points to progress through the track. I made three more cash purchases (the train station that was advertised and two PvZ buildings) this morning, but haven't gotten any Black Friday plumbob points. Green men rising
Just had an odd happening, pairs of green men rising up from some residential buildings. 2 small green figures with a plus sign at the bottom of the left one rising like the 2, 4, and 12 when you have high speed going in a shop. Clicking on them did nothing. Anyone else see these? All the buildings involved had the landmark comment. All were near the Brandenburg Tower.
