I think a Sims 4.5 or Sims 4 Remastered would be better than releasing The Sims 5. And they can call it simple The Sims. Core features like open neighborhoods and seasons should be part of the base game, not DLCs. With better graphics, fewer bugs, a more modern engine, and more realistic mechanics, starting fresh could be really enjoyable. Beginning from scratch would also let people choose content more consciously. I would already know what I actually use and what I don’t from The Sims 4. For example, if a University pack came with Sims 4.5, I probably wouldn’t buy it, because my Sims almost never went to university in Sims 4. This kind of fresh start would feel cleaner, more personalized, and more exciting. The new game that takes the most loved aspects of The Sims 4 and handles them in a more realistic and drama-filled way with lore could be really great. If Sims could have more realistic-looking faces, bodies and hair, that alone would make the experience feel much deeper and more immersive. At the same time, players who want to keep playing The Sims 4 could continue with it, just like how Sims 2 and Sims 3 still have active communities. In this new game, playing in a world where neighbors live their own lives—getting married, divorcing, having children, and aging on their own—would make the world feel truly alive. Features like a color wheel for hair colors and deeper life simulation mechanics would also be amazing additions. Overall, a game like this could feel more dynamic, realistic, and emotionally engaging, while still respecting players who prefer to stay with Sims 4. Sims from the Gallery or existing save files could potentially be transferred into the new game. Sims can look little better and more realistic like if they get default eye or skin CC during the transition, important details like character, family trees, and milestones could carry over. A shared one Gallery between both games would also mean creators wouldn’t lose their followers or visibility, making the move feel natural rather than disruptive. This kind of connection would make upgrading feel exciting instead of frustrating.cebmarin10 days agoSeasoned Ace45Views0likes0CommentsThe Sims Medieval through Steam
I was repeatedly told by EA support to post this issue in the forums, so here I am. The Sims Medieval will either crash immediately or run as a background process through Steam no matter what I do. I've tried running it in compatibility mode for Windows 7 and Windows XP v 3, I've tried using Powershell to run it through CPU 0 and CPU 1 only (it will not apply to TSM.exe no matter what I try), I've tried running everything as an administrator, I've tried a clean boot with zero programs running- nothing works. I've been told that the "concern team" will reply to me here, so please advise. I bought the game only ten years ago and wasn't expecting it to be completely inoperable by now, especially with all the troubleshooting I've done. I tried activating my CD key in Steam (again), in the EA launcher, and in the Sims 3 website, but I haven't had any luck with activating a "fresh" version of the game, if anyone's wondering.PiderSensei30 days agoSeasoned Newcomer40Views0likes0CommentsSims Zombies
So I know there is a mod but I always thought that EA should make a Sims Zombies spinoff kinda like how they did Sims Medieval. This one would be years after an outbreak. Houses would need upgrades and repairs. You could board windows, repair vehicles, scavenge inside or outside of town, and skills would also include mechanical, marksmanship, gunsmithing, etc. I feel like there is so much potential for something like this.Mother_Phoenix31 days agoRising Newcomer14Views0likes0CommentsThe Sims Medieval remaster for Windows 10 please!
My computer is just dumb and refuses to run anything from that era due to some secure boot nonsense. Please kindly consider remastering the game for Windows 10 and 11. And MOST importantly, keep the amazing soundtrack! Don't touch anything else in game, just make it work on modern computers. Thank you!Win32KernelFile2 months agoNew Vanguard31Views4likes0Commentsthe sims medieval is unplayable
so far, with every quest i've encountered, there has been a bug that has made it impossible to progress. made the mistake of decorating my own castle, because that made the messenger post UNUSABLE. got the responsibility to send a guildmaster to the stocks, had them there but the game didn't register it thus FAILING it. tried to marry my build master, but kept getting cold feet because i dared to NOT use the church despite the game telling me it was an option. somehow fixed that just to have my husband UNABLE TO COME TO THE CASTLE to consummate the marriage. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE. the game has been out for over a decade and there's still bugs? are you not embarrassed?!? and to add insult to injury, the amount of time I WASTED trying to fix these problems, i've now played it past the hours allowing me to RETURN THIS ABHORRENT MESS to get my MONEY BACK. shame on you, EA. shame on you.swillify2 months agoRising Novice22Views1like0CommentsSims 3 Medieval Won't Launch
So first off, I have the physical disk of this game and it seemed like everything went fine while installing. It updated after the install, launches the launcher, click play, then nothing. Tried doing the intel 13 patch and a notepad code that seemed to help others, but no luck. I've spent a few hours trying to figure this out but I'm not very tech savvy so I would appreciate any advice! I used to really love this game and enjoyed it enough that I got an external CD drive just do I could play it again! Anyway, thanks in advance for any help!50Views0likes0CommentsSims medieval service initialization failed (0x0175d824)
I downloaded The Sims Medieval from the EA app but it won't open and keeps giving me "service initialization failed (0x0175d824)" error every time I try to launch. I've already tried: Changing resolution in options.ini Using alder lake patch Repairing through EA App Uninstalling and reinstalling Deleting TSM folder after uninstalling and then reinstalling again Using PowerShell to launch Changing in task manager to only use one CPU Running as administrator I have a 12th gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1235U, Windows 11, and I use an Intel graphics card on my laptop. I don't know much about computers so if any more info is needed please let know! I hope someone has a solution, it's so frustrating that I've spent money on it just for it not to work right out of the box. ☹️ Any help is appreciated, thank you! This feels practically hopeless.56Views0likes0CommentsCodes don't even work
so frustrating having spent a lot of money buying the sims collection for only a select few of the codes to work. They've re-released sims 2, i have most of the collection but none of the codes work! So i'd have to rebuy them just to play it on the app. Money grabbing at its finest, they aren't very helpful on the chats either which is disappointing.Sammy97974 months agoRising Newcomer28Views0likes0CommentsSims 3 on PLAYSTATION 5 and XBOX series X

Hello, fellow Simmers (and, hopefully, EA management)! So, I've noticed a recurring trend that the old 2003 PS2 game "The Sims: Bustin' Out" had been a source of many nostalgic memories for multiple players on the EA Forums. I haven't played it myself; in fact, I only went looking for gameplay footage of the game AFTER reading about it on the Sims series' official TV Tropes page. But from what I've read and seen of the game, I can see the charm it has, and even if it's a bit rough around the edges (and even THAT's to be expected for an old console spin-off of a series designed for PC), I want to say that it actually looks pretty good. I want to go play Bustin' Out and take the old twist of a Sims game with a story mode out for a spin myself, but the available torrent/emulator sites are a bit too sketchy for my tastes. So, I'm taking to the EA Forums to buzz this request into EA's ear yet again, for myself and everyone who grew up playing The Sims' wacky and edgy PS2 spin-offs. Could we please have a remake of The Sims: Bustin' Out? Preferably for the PC? I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks, GeraltsFace.92Views3likes0CommentsApparel at the Sims Shop.com
Don't know if you are aware but merch can be purchased at The Sims Shop.com for the 25th anniversary of the Sims. I just got a deep purple sweatshirt with electric green embroidered icons and a deep blue tshirt with the 25th logo. They are both so pretty! I wasn't expecting the good quality or how comfy the items are. If you like sims merchandise or are into 25th anniversary pins, check them out! I swear I don't work for EA (LOL) or for a retailer. I was just so pleased with the two items I thought others should know!Jaletu5 months agoNew Ace148Views2likes0CommentsBring in the Sims legacy collection over to consoles re-release of the Sims 3
It seems annoying for people that don’t have PCs and prefer games consoles cannot play this release of the Sims one and two you can even have on the store requires keyboard and mouse support for console also for the Sims three which requires a very high specification requirement on older Pacific operating systems And I played it on my Windows 10 PC a few years ago it run perfectly with all the add-ons for one day when I played it again it kept crashing into the desktop. It didn’t tell me why it just didn’t wanna run afterwards so I thought it would be easier for you to release a patch for the game and bring it over to console the Sims three I think it would be a good opportunity to release the game for consoles and the legacy collection for it as well Sims three is one of my favourites but not being able to play it because of this problem is really annoying1sj048l568pg6 months agoNew Traveler93Views1like0CommentsI asked AI to describe "The Sims"
Ah yes, The Sims -- The only game where you can spend 6 hours designing a house down to the individual placement of a toilet brush, then forget to feed your virtual family and watch them die in a suspiciously flammable kitchen fire. At its core, The Sims is a life simulator. Not your life, mind you -- unless your life involves peeing yourself at a dinner party, getting stuck behind a chair, and having your boss shoe up to scold you for missing work, while you sob in a hot tub. This game is where you can create your dream self, give them a perfect home, an amazing job, a golden retriever, and then immediately remove the pool ladder just to see what happens. (Spoiler: They drown --They Always Drown.) Sims themselves are weird little digital people who speak fluent Simlish (a language made of baby babble and emotional trauma) and they have the intelligence of a Roomba in a haunted house. They'll cook gourmet meals but forget how to use a door. They'll flirt with the Grim Reaper moments after watching their spouse die of embarrassment. They cry when you delete the toilet, yet seem completely unfazed when a meteor lands on the neighbor's baby. You're not just a player--you're a god. A chaotic, petty god who gets bored halfway through building a family legacy and decides to trade someone in a windowless room full of dirty dishes. In conclusion, "The Sims" is like real life, if real life were written by a caffeinated toddler with access to a cheat code that gives you infinite money and zero ethics 10/10 highly recommend.mikkimouse19786 months agoSeasoned Veteran38Views1like0Comments
