@Bluebellflora @Ok and is it compatible with MacBook Air ? 2017 one
- @nadineabdoun
So long as you have the right ports, which you do, yes, but you should always check the connections when buying peripherals. - nadineabdoun2 years agoSeasoned Traveler

Hi! I have encountered an issue with my sims 4 opening, I bought an SSD a Crucial BX500 I had a WD elements HDD but it took forever to open ( 3 hours loading time) and now even the SSD is taking forever to load does anyone know how to fix it ? Any tricks or cheats on how this works I’m new to this whole ssd hdd thing and I have no idea what’s happening.
for reference I erased my SSD to make it compatible with my Mac ( Mac journal ) 🙂

Do you have a link to the drive you have? I can only find the Crucial BX500 as a 2.5" internal SATA drive. - nadineabdoun2 years agoSeasoned Traveler
@Bluebellflora @Yes that’s the one I have
- @nadineabdoun
Thanks. Do you have it set up as an external drive or is it installed internally? If internal, which exact Mac model do you have? Apple > About This Mac. - nadineabdoun2 years agoSeasoned Traveler
No I have it installed as an external drive @Bluebellflora

Ok. What’s the connection on each end of the cable connecting it to your Mac? Do you know the data speed the cable carries too? - nadineabdoun2 years agoSeasoned Traveler
@Bluebellflora I think it’s around 500-540MB? Does the cc mod list that shows up when you load the game makes the game run/Loas slower ? I have around 33k moss and cc
- @nadineabdoun
Yes it does. Speed is ok, not the best but should be ok. What are the connections? Probably USB but which specific type? - nadineabdoun2 years agoSeasoned Traveler
The normal USB cord the big one. Ok i turned it off so it doesn’t show up when I load the game at the startup. @Bluebellflora
- @nadineabdoun
That’s what may be slowing down your connection. Can you connect with USB-C to USB-C? Would still be helpful to know your Mac model from About This Mac please. - nadineabdoun2 years agoSeasoned Traveler

- @nadineabdoun

My MacBook isn’t compatible with the USB-C
@nadineabdoun
Yes it is. Same port as the Thunderbolt.Ah you’re right, it’s the old style. In which case you’re limited by the speed of the USB connection you’re using.
- nadineabdoun2 years agoSeasoned Traveler@Bluebellflora Ok! Thank you for the help 🙂
