Re: Apex Legends crashes after the Respawn Title Screen

Not all the solutions.. I had this issue and fixed it.. I dont know what is going to fix it for you but you can try some more search the forum for feedback of users.. Without hardware specs it's a bit annoying to give you some advice..

If you are running nvidia and have intel cpu:
-try disable origin overlay
-try nvidia driver 399.24
-check your visual c++ installs (2010, 2012, 2013, 2017) in 32 and 64 bit
-run origin/apex as administrator
-try a sfc /scannow (cmd as administrator)
-try balanced mode in nvidia control panel

just some quick tips

  • I have the same issue since yesterday update. The game worked fine until then.

I managed to play after a full uninstall/reinstall of both Origin and Apex, EAC repair, and also temp & %ProgramData% files cleaning, and updating my Nvidia driver to the lastest.

I thought "Great ! Problem fixed".

F*** me yeah ! The issue still here today, and nothing that I did (again) worked so far.

So i guess we can rule out :

    - Reinstalling

    - EAC Repair

    - Drivers versions (I tried 396.xx, 417.xx, and the lastest from Nvidia)

    - temp %ProgramData% files

    - In game Overlay (Origin/Nvidia) : I tried with and without, no difference made

    - fps and refresh cap, tried and no effect whatsoever

Just before the game crashes I can see an error message "Unable to connect to EA server. Please verify your Internet connection", so nothing usefull as usual in those sort of messages, obviously my Internet connection is working just fine.

And CPU  usage never reached 100%, not even 70%, so I guess it's also not an overclocking problem.

    Specs :

    OS : Windows 10

    Graphics : Nvidia GTX 1080

    CPU : Intel Xeon E5-2678 2.50Ghz

Any ideas ? Except sending my keyboard through my screen.
