Re: Dragon Age Origins not showing on the EA app

@sengt If you are running it through Steam, it would populate in the EA app as in the Steam library when you play. Can you log into your EA Account and see if the right EA account is linked to the right Steam account under the connections tab?

Yes, it's linked to the correct account—actually, I only have one Steam and one EA account. Other games like BF2042 and Mass Effect: Andromeda are recognized, and I've already played DAO, but it doesn't load in the EA App. I've even reinstalled it several times.

  • Hi,

I'm in the exact same situation (one EA account, one Steam account), when I launch the EA app on Windows, it shows DA2 and DAI as being in my library through Steam, but for Origins I only have the option to purchase it, despite it being the only DA game I currently have installed and am actively playing it.

Some suggested logging in in game into the EA servers, however, it seems DAO servers were shut down and it's no longer possible to log in.

Another solution I've seen is manually inputting Steam DAO key into EA app, however Steam no longer allows users to view game keys, os this is not possible any more, either.

@sengt If you are still having an issue send me a DM with your EA ID.

@monozuki If it is asking you to purchase that is more of an entitlement issue. Your EA account doesn't see that you own it. Can you send me your EA ID or a case number of the EA account itself?

Hi, I also have this problem. I DA2 and DA:Inquisition, but not Origins. However, I think it was only called Dragon Age when I bought the game. Still, it does not show up at all on the EA app. I am also unable to send a direct message to anyone yet since today is the first day I logged onto these forums on this account.

@Tarrine DAO was pre Origin, so it was implimented into Origin years ago which is why. Then the different versions came out with DLC, so its been updated over the years.

Currently, when you log into the EA app, you are not seeing Dragon Age Origins.

When you search the EA app store, does it ask you to purchase or download?

When you initially got the game, was it from a retailer or did you use a code?

    Thank you EA_Shepard.

Yes, if I go into EA app the game isn't listed in the library. And searching for Origins, the system lets me buy it. When I originally got the game, it was retailed. I don't have the box anymore though. I have moved a couple of times since then and didn't take it with me.

    Thank you.

@Tarrine Gotcha so in most cases that would only mean a few things

    Wrong account

The code was never registered to an account

This game was Pre-Origin, so if a code was registered way back when all copies were transformed into digital, you didn't need a disc to play.

If the code was never registered on the account, you run into this issue. In order to fix that, you have to find the account it was registered to. If, in fact, it was.

That would involve contacting live support and having them basically look up any email you can think of and check to see if the game is located on that account.

Oh, I see. I will do that. I cannot think of any other email I would use since this is my gaming one.

Wait, I just remembered something. if I go to Dragon Keep, it lists my character and my choices in Origins. And I use this account to log into Keep. Does that mean anything EA_Shepard?

@Tarrine If you logged into the DA Keep with an account, it wont necessarily show you the account the game is linked to. However, if you see the characters you created, then you will see the account it is linked to when you log in.

When you first log in, you see each platform you have linked to your EA account that you play on. If you see an EA ID linked, then that should be the one your game is linked to. All discs and codes used were converted to digital games years ago, so theoretically, that would be the EA account your game is linked to.

Support can look up any email or ID you play on. So they will be able to locate it.

Hi EA Shepard, I have another related problem may I ask you here? The problem I have is that I am trying to play Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer. I can play it on one computer. But when I play it on another computer, it would say the Product Key cannot be verified. What is more strange is that I was playing Mass Effect 3 fine on that computer before today. I tried going back to the first computer and can play it. I just cannot play it on this computer. The problem is that I am playing it with my family member, one person per computer and we each have our own account. The other computer could play ME 3 fine before today. But starting today, whatever account I log onto that computer, it cannot play. It would say I need the product key.

@Tarrine This would be because when you go online like the MP, the game is checking the registry entry. So, it isn't seeing that one or both accounts is trying to log into one game with one registry key.

If you have two accounts, the best thing to do is  to download it through one account on each PC. A fresh reinstall would resolve it but if its asking for a registry key, and not to simply log in, that means its reading different versions of the game.

You can try to delete the license folder and then repair the game, but that may not work. Typically what you are trying to do, you shouldn't be able to regardless if you did before. Its all on how the PC reads the account that is logging in trying to access the same registry key linked to the account.

Deleting the License folder worked. I didn't even have to repair the game. Once I deleted it and tried it, it launched properly.

Now I just need to find my origins game. I have the later DAO series, just the origins missing.

On your banner, it says accept as solutions button. I don't see that. Is it because I am not the OP?

Hello I'm also having this same problem. My Steam account is linked, and the DA2 and DAI from Steam show up just fine, it's only DAO that won't show up. I've tried reinstalling both the EA app and DAO but it hasn't worked.
