No HUD so you can’t see how many bullets you have. You have to rely on the screen on your weapons.2. The loot will be scarce. I think respawn’s goal in this game is to make it a bit of carefully played mode rather than the hotdropping kill kill kill mode we’re used to. But if I were a betting man, people would still play the game like kill hungry monster.Not actual leaked images. Just what the mode will most likely look like. These are old images from the bug where it removed all your HUD. Does the mode sound good? Early thoughts?

Not sure I'd call that "hardcore." Unless they're just saying that it will be level one everything, no more level 2, 3, or 4.3. Doesn't sound like something that really belongs in a BR. And yes, scarce loot seems unappealing considering the amount of complaints with the poor loot pool to begin with. I also don't believe most will even play that mode the way it is meant to play.

I can imagine quite a few players enjoying this so I don't think it's a bad thing, but my initial thought is "because Apex isn't hard enough?"
At least I wouldn't be forced to play it.

@Cheese9Man I can see people who love the whole loot, wander and survive aspect of classic BR liking it. I'm not one of those people at all, as I especially hate not having sights for my guns, but maybe the metrics suggest a lot of people like looting or something?

It honestly feels like a poor fit for the team-based style of Apex, unless they're planning on making this solo, which I could have fun with.

I honestly hope it's not an effort by the devs to "teach" the player base how they want us to play their game, because that almost universally ends up being an unpopular waste of resources.

Would not be remotely interested in this type of game mode. It lacks originality or creative imagination. Its apex with out a UI. Not much to get hyped about. We already can 1 mag people in the time a hardcore bullet could kill someone.

Regarding the ideas I heard about this so-called 'Hardcore Mode' fewer weapons in the general loot pool was one of the ideas floated (sounds great) so why don't they just go the whole hog & have a Melee Mode LTM .Like others have mentioned I wouldn't be interested in this mode either tbh.

A melee-only mode would get stale very quickly, unless they were planning on adding a bunch of melee weapons to pick up with different abilities (longer reach but longer wind up, double jump but close range, fast but low damage, etc.)
This would probably never happen, though, because it strays pretty far from Apex's core gameplay, which revolves around guns.
