4 years ago100% CPU usage troubleshooting steps
Hi, some PC players been encountering high CPU usage, with associated loading/performance issues
This is being investigated, but it looks like some troubleshooting steps can help for a lot of affected folks. We've seen that there's a lot of steps which may help and wanted to gather them in a single spot.
- Elimintate potential conflicts with other programs by restarting with a Clean Boot.
- If you're using an Nvidia graphics card, try updating the drivers using the Express method. Then, launch the game from the GeForce Experience.

- Update your CPU drivers with the instructions here.
- It's possible this is related to Windows Defender. These instructions may help.
- This could also be related to EasyAntiCheat. Take a look at this fix that worked for some folks.
- Another thing that may help is to clear shader cache using the Nvidia Control Panel:
1.) Install latest drivers
2.) Disable Shader Cache in the NVidia control panel
3.) Hit apply
4.) Enable shader cache
5.) Hit apply
6.) Restart Computer
