apex freeze
Hey guys, recently I downloaded apex back so I can play with my friends, but now apex has started to freeze up during games. I have no clue why I've tried everything on the apex crash fix forum but n...
I've opened my case, check the power connector on both the PSU side and the GPU side, they're both all the way in. And I just turned the Link State Power Management off, and I'm still experiencing crashes. And yes, I am currently running MSI afterburner, 144 mhz on the core and 500 mhz on the mem. with power limit set to 120%, did not touch core voltage. And for the PSU i'm currently using, it's a seasonic focus plus gold 850W 80+ gold power supply (Many people tell me it's way overkill). ANd the gpu is a Evga gtx 1070ti sc black edition acx 3.0, the product page for anything above a gtx 1070 has been taken down from evga, assuming Nvidia has stop producing 10 series card.
Okay try this OC:
GPU= 0
Mem= 500mhz
Voltage= max (if your comfortable with the thermals)
Power= Max
Then try the game.
10 series GPU's can dynamically OC if enough power is supplied to them.
I have a GTX 1080Ti that was unstable even at the most minor OC, since reverting back to stock and upping the power i got a higher and stable OC.
and a reminder that all games stress GPU's in different ways and may crash when others do not. 🙂
I think it's fixed, I turned down the OC on the core by 25 mhz and it seems to have fixed the problem, but I'll playsome more this weekend to make sure. Thanks alot
Cool, if it does pop up again then tweak it down further.
🙂 👍
