Apex legends- first time setup on ps4

Hi Guys- I just downloaded Apex legends on my PS4- however as soon as i start up the game it gives me the error: Unable to connect to EA servers. Please check your internet connection and make sure Origin is online and try again. A little bit of history- I think there might be an EA account linked to the main user (though i did link my EA account and Playstation account, though i am not the primary user. Our connection is perfectly fine and the signal is strong- I have no idea what the origin is- I just created my own EA account.

Wont be able to reset the PS4

Would really appreciate a step by step guide to getting apex legends setup on my Ps4 for the first time
