Apex Legends Sound

Hello,

Coming from PS4 to PC (lost my player profile 298 xp lvl btw…)

In Apex Legends only, since 2 or 3 days, in-game audio is troubleshooting.

2 channels are messing in the audio mix : Voices and Game sounds FX (steps, shots etc.)

They sound like underwater sounds with metallic or compressed effect and those channels volume randomly change along the game uppon random events (switching weapon, sliding, speakings, etc.)

Running on a fresh new PC bought 5 days ago:

- AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, 8x3.59 Ghz,

- 16 Go RAM

- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER 8Go VRam

- Windows 10 Home up to date.

- Using a headset with Realtek High Definition Audio driver 6.0.1.7841, all effects deactivated, 24 bits 480000 Hz exclusive mode, Windows Sonic for Headphones activated.

- No mic.

- Apex game launched with command: -channels 2

It is really annoying and I don't know what else to do to get it working as expected :/

Please help !

    Hi @Vico301180

When you have a chance can you grab a DxDiag and share it here so we can take a look? You can find more info on how to pull one up over at the EA Help website

Once you have the file please attach it to this thread. Thanks!

  • Hi Kent,

Here it is the DXDiag file, but I think I finally figured it out. I went to sound config panel > audio device properties > enhancement ("améliorations" in french) and MANUALLY (important) unchecked each sound effect (if not done separately but just checking "deactivate all sound effects" the audio still mess).

    Hope this helps other ppl

    Best Regards

Ah, I see! It is strange that it would only work by unchecking them all one-by-one, but I'm glad to hear you were able to get it fixed. Thanks for taking the time to come back and let us know how you were able to get it figured out. 👍
