APEX on Under 13 Account

I don't know why I can't just email EA about this directly, but the help page takes you round in circles when you click Start a New Case, and never lets you create one.

Anyway, my son is 11. He plays Apex on his Xbox on an under 13 account, but he is not in my settings under Family, because you need to be a teen for that. So, I have no idea how to moderate or grant access to that account because EA doesn't make that easy.

I downloaded APEX on my PC under my (Windows) user account. I switch to his Windows account, and Apex does not show up there. There is just a blank screen in the EA app that says Library, and "add a code to add a game". How do I grant him access to play on the PC. He plays on the Xbox just fine, why not the PC?

Thanks.

  • Hey @YummySorrow,

If your son is under 13, I'm afraid he wouldn't be able to play online until he turns 13 and his account is converted to a Teen account.

There are a number of restrictions on child accounts that we follow due to various federal regulations, which you can read more about here: Origin - How parental controls impact child accounts (ea.com)

Without having access to the Xbox account information (which we cannot review via the forums) I can't answer why he's able to play there, but it's likely due to the way the Xbox parental controls have been set up, or the EA account linked to that particular Xbox account.
