Ash Forces Game Crash on PS5

I'm on PS5 and my game will crash no matter what I do if I play Ash. From what I have seen it is a PS5 only issue and has not happened to my PS4 friend. I do not receive an Apex Legends error code and only a PS5 error code (CE-108225-1). The crash first happened two days ago after I bought Ash and only happened when I used her ultimate, but now it happens when I do any action besides running and shooting. I tried restarting my PS5, deleting and reinstalling Apex Legends, Factory Resetting my PS5, clearing the cache, deleting the stored data, and downloading the PS4 version. Nothing worked. (I did not get to try the PS4 version because it wouldn't let me sign in)

If you have factory reset the console and are still crashing, I see two possible issues: overheating or hardware issue.

When my PS5 was overheating, I cleaned the vents, fan blades and also the heatsinks (parts that I could get to) with a can of compressed air held vertically.

Check the PS5 documentation for info on using a vacuum on the specific holes in the console body.

Once super clean, I had no issues and I do a deep clean every couple of months.

If you do this and continue crashing, you may need to contact PlayStation for hardware support.

    Thanks.

  • The same thing happens to me. On Reddit, there’s a bunch of threads about PS5 players not able to play Ash. It can’t be anything to do with the PS5 itself, because you can play her just fine if you don’t have a skin attached to her. You can only play her with the original skin on. Not a big deal but a little upsetting because some people might have a skin they want to use for her (might even paid money to get certain skins).
