EAC false positives

For the past few days I've been trying to launch Apex Legends but to no avail. Every time I launched the game, the anti cheat showed a message "Untrusted system file (C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\file name)", all of which are .dlls.

The system files causing this problem:

nvd3dumx.dll

nvwgf2umx.dll

nvapi64.dll

I tried moving those to a different folder, but that did not help. In fact, it caused the game not to launch at all. I also tried fixing the EAC, but it did not help either. I've scanned the files for viruses -  everything's clear.

  • Hey @GiecioHERE

Sounds like some system files are corrupted.
This can be fixed by running a system file checker.

First press the window key and type CMD, a suggestion should pop-up "command prompt".
Right-click this and press run as administrator.

    A new black window will open type here: DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
When this is done type then: sfc /scannow

These file checkers can take some time, be patient and don't cancel them as it may be repairing some system files.

Let me know if this solved the issue

  • @GiecioHERE Hello,i had a same problem like you..
First step:Use ddu to uninstall nvdia drivers(EAC flag nvidia file, belive on not).
Step two:after uninstall delete manually those files in system32
    step3:install older drivers 441.41 that works 100%.grettings
