High FPS, but game feels choppy/not smooth

Hello,  I recently upgraded from a 1660ti to a 4070, and now Apex feels choppy. It could be screen tearing, but it's hard to tell. The best way for me to describe it is that it reports 158fps, but it feels significantly lower, like 60 or 75. I read a few posts of people with similar issues, but so far, none of those solutions have worked. I already checked the frametime, and it seems pretty stable at 5.8 - around 6ms.

Specs:

Ryzen 5 5600x

Rtx 4070

32gb 3600mhz memory

Windows 10

Monitor: LG 27GP850-B Ultragear (extended adaptive sync)

I have G-sync on, windows hardware accelerated gpu scheduling on and vrr on

Im currently the settings from this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/CompetitiveApex/comments/olpcsg/how_to_set_up_apex_to_run_flawlessly/

It's possible its not exclusive to Apex, as I'm having similar performance issues in other games like Cyberpunk 2077
