Hi Guys, since this season started I struggle with smoothness of Apex. To be precise on my previous 8600k with the gtx 1080 configuration I played at 140fps@1080p. There were no problems with the smoothness of the game itself - some drops was noticable but it's ok. When the new season came in there were some strange image issues that are irritating enough to ask me for a some clues or ideas how to fix this, if there is any fix anyway...
The issue looks like some kind of tearing or stutter. For example, sometimes using grapple the image of the game looks slower, like stutter but it's not. RivaTuner is my old friend and on framegraph I can't see any dropped frames, I can say that the graph is practically flat. Was wondering if it's a new map thing but on World Edge I can observe same issue. Basically when this effect appears on the screen it looks like playing on 60 hz monitor for just a second, but the frames are at stable 140.
I had the opportunity to sell my computer for a good price and bought a new one - 10700KF, RTX3080, ram is 3600mhz cl16.
Unfortunately the same issue appears as before.
What I did?
1. Build upgrade to 20H2
2. Different drivers
3. Different settings on Nvidia panel. I have a monitor with FreeSync. I tried to play on fixed refresh, checking many setups with pre-rendered frames, threaded optimalizations, low latency mode
4. Fullscreen exclusive, disabled fullscreen optimalizations, high priority, cpu unpark
5. New windows profile, disabling windows features like dvr, anything in the background
6. The famous reinstallation of the game
What's more, on this configuration, games that have much higher requirements do not have such problems even without those 140 frames. Games looks much better without this, let call it "screen drop".
Oh, just now I know how you can imagine this effect - when you play a game with capped frames when the game is in the background and you switch to browser or anything else to make the game in the background you can see how the game behave. So I have just that randomly over the map at least once every minute.
If you have any ways to solve this problem, I would be very grateful
