    @danDFNDR @Solid_EXC  I've posted this possible fix before, as it was a problem we sorted out on my son's pc. I've just copied and pasted it here. 

    The shut off/down time bit is whats interesting.

    Had a similar problem a while back after a Windows update. It had reset the HD to sleep after 20 min, rather than the setting I had put in of HD not sleeping. 

    To stop the HD from going to sleep, somthing similar to this:

    click on power icon in tray

    Then More Power options. 

    In the Control Panel window

    select Change Plan settings for your current Power Plan

    Then select Change advanced power settings.

    In Power Options click the + sign Next to hd.

    Under Turn off hard disk after heading, change the value to 0 or never.

    I think that was windows 10, same or similar might apply to 11
