New Update crashes without launching (not a directx12 option issue)

after the update 07.01.2025 the game does not start. More precisely, it starts loading, the client and the game launch window open and closes on the window I attached to the topic. Nothing else happens. In the morning I was still playing, but in the evening after the update it no longer starts. Windows 10. Use EA platform - not steam/. Please help

This is unbelievable. Since the update yesterday I can't play a single hour of the game without crashing to desktop. Happened two times yesterday night (in ranked matches) without a single error message. Crashing today after playing 2 matches with error message saying there's something wrong with the files and I should repair the game which I did but it keeps crashing. Anyone else's game constantly crashing?

So after the newest update which made DX12 standard for the game I realized how bad it is compaed to DX11. Let me give some examples:

DX12 makes the game crash to desktop after every 3-4 matches.

FPS in the lobby is capped at 60 which feels just unnatural and slow when you're used to higher. Also it makes last second legend changes at the start of the match a guesing game because the mouse has so much ghosting at 60FPS.

DX12 doesn't let you minimize the game or even tab out which I do a lot. There's no way you somehow get to the desktop because the game forces itself into the foreground.

The FPS cap in the lobby and the tabbing out problems don't exist on the DX11 version and that's why I decided to stay on DX11 for as long as possible or until these "problems" are solved for the DX12 version. Also there are no crashes for me in DX11.

Apex legend is crashing after the recent update, please fix it

I have exactly the same problem.

These are the steps I have taken besides re-installing and verifying Apex on EA, Steam and Epic multiple times. 

Network Reset

Reset network settings to default.

Driver Updates:

Ensured all drivers, especially for network adapters and graphics cards, are up to date.

Disable Fast Start up:

Disabled fast start up in Windows.

DCOM Permissions:

Checked and fixed DCOM permissions manually. 

System File Check and DISM:

sfc /scannow

to check and repair system files.

Used DISM commands to check and repair the system image.

Safe Mode with Networking:

Tested the system in Safe Mode with Networking to isolate the problem.

Visual C++ Redistributables and DirectX:

Reinstalled all versions of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables and ensured DirectX was up to date.

This morning I factory reset my computer and re-installed Apex on the EA app and still got the same problem.

Did you tried to install the latest version of Nvidia Driver?

Last time when the game was crashing I just updated the driver and all was fine.

After the anti-cheat splash screen pops up disappears the r5apex.exe process closes without any errors, it used to be like that, but after the first r5apex.exe process closed a new one would appear, but now the new one simply doesn't appear.
