No Gunshot or Enemy Sounds When Enemies Are Close

I am experiencing a serious audio issue in Apex Legends. During gameplay, I can hear distant gunfire and ambient sounds normally, but whenever enemies get close, all sounds disappear — including enemy gunfire and even my own weapon firing.

I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps, but none worked:

• Restarting the game and my PC
• Verifying and reinstalling the game files
• Updating audio drivers and system drivers
• Checking and adjusting both in-game audio settings and system audio settings

This issue severely affects gameplay and makes it impossible to play properly. I urgently need assistance to resolve this.

Could you please confirm whether this is a known bug, and provide a solution as soon as possible?
