Ping spike/lag

Hey!
I got this problem a few days ago that every time when I go into a gunfight (doesn't matter if it's after a drop or the last 2 squads) my ping just jumps from 70-80 all the way up to 130-150. (Sometimes my FPS would drop too when it happens but usually stays at normal 70-80) It makes the game unplayable. It only started a few days ago and I can't do anything about it I don't use any other apps that would require an internet connection, I'm playing on cable, not WIFI.
My setup:
GTX 1050TI
1x8GB 3200mhz RAM
Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-9100F CPU @ 3.60GHz, 3600 Mhz
120GB SSD (for windows)
1TB HDD(for games and stuff, Apex is on here)
I'm playing all low. I tied port forwarding on the router, open ports on windows defender/anti-virus, delete apex's anti-cheat(i read somewhere it would help), and reinstall it. I'm playing on Steam if it's matters. I tried it out on my PlayStation but I don't have this problem there. Does anyone has/had this problem? How can I make it playable again?
I tried changing servers too!
Ohh and it only happens in BattleRoyal and it has no problem in Arena.

Apparently my HDD was corrupted or smth, I bought an SSD, and now runs smoothly no ping spikes at all.

  • @CommonCloud9 Hello,

Do you have your FPS Capped? Are you playing with Vsync at all?
if your FPS is not capped i would go to your launch options in steam/origin and adding +fps_max unlimited
However, if you use programs like Rivatuner and MSI afterburner, make sure Rivatuner isnt locking your FPS at a weird state.
and if you aren't using them, i personally would recommend using it.
  • i have the same problem i tried what you said i’m still skyrocket with ping

    i have. 1650 gpu

    core i 5

    1tb hd

only in apex this is happening it’s annoying

  • My FPS is not Capped and I don't play with VSYNC. I didn't use afterburner but I give it a shot and it helped a little, it's not happening as often. I played a game and it happened like 2-3 times, not all the time when an enemy was nearby. Is it possible thats it's happening because I have only 8GB of RAM? I read on forums that it would be the problem. But i played before and its started happening only like 3-4 days ago

    @Tradables

I played like 3-5 matches. And is not helped at all. my FPS stays at 80-100 and my ping just jumps from 60 to 150 or 180 if a land on a hotspot or just trying to 3th party someone.

I thought after the first game its helped but looks like it did not
