PS5 credentials expired - how can I work out what my account email is?
I usually play Apex on my Xbox but I recently gave my little nephew my old PS4 and wanted to play with him. It'd been a while since i played Apex on PS5.
I get the 'credentials expired' message. I use many email addresses so I have no idea what I used when I started playing.. I assumed my PSN account would most likely be is, and when I go to log into the account on EA.com, I click the PSN button, a pop up appears and I get the 'expired credentials' message. I go through the change of password process no problem. But then when I log into the email address associated with my PSN, I have no connections.
I've tried other obvious options, such as logging in via my Xbox credentials, which I have connected my Xbox and Prime Gaming accounts. I tried my account for Origin and a more likely option, and I simply can't find it.
Surely there is a way I can unlink the game on my PS5, start from scratch and relink it to another account? If I could at least see what email address I used when I created the account, I could reset the password and move on with my life but I can't see it on the PS5.
Just to close the loop so anyone else who has a similar problem knows what happened.
According to EA support, my account was deleted. The first EA Support person claimed I deleted my EA account. The second person I spoke to said it was because of inactivity.
Either way, because the account was deleted, I can never use that PSN ID again. It's my only PSN ID and I have no desire to make another one (as this is the account PS+ is associated with and where I have all the free items for the game).
I've basically been banned and I never did anything wrong other than not play for a while. Very disappointing result.
