Re: About attaching batch images to APEX names (Steam)

@y11c Hello,

This is an exploit which was never ment to be added to the game. I noticed this yesterday and forwarded this information to a EA member.
Using exploits to benefit yourself is indeed a bannable offense. As it states in rules and Terms of service.

If you have knowledge on how to replicate this, I would suggest that you don't, and to refrain others from doing the same. Let's keep this information private.

    This is not exploit. Respawns themselves added this feature to use symbols. That is why in the ranked game, you can see your rank and the rank of the enemy when you wipe the squad. Thats literally all their fault.

    @RaulEvans Not these icons.
    There is an exploit in which allows the user to add game asset images to their name. You'll see them in pubs, ranked, maybe even arenas.

    Not a lot of people know how it's done but once word gets out, it becomes a threat

    Hey all,

    A temporary fix was implemented for this. Now if someone has images in their Steam name you won't see them in-game. Instead they'll only show up as null squares. 

    If you have images in your own name it may still cause the game to crash though. The best thing to do is to just remove them to stop that from happening.
