Re: Accounts Linked but ALL Items are missing

Hey @OverratedMax1,

Did you previously have your PSN account linked to a different EA account?

This is typically why we see people reporting their content has disappeared, as unlinking a platform will cause a loss of progress.

You would need to re-link your PSN to the original EA account in that case to try restoring any lost content.

Our posts below have a bit more info about this particular situation.

  • I don't believe it was linked to any account. I heard about cross progression and linked it to my EA App account because my steam account is linked to a email i haven't had access to for almost 7 years so I didn't have any other options other than this EA App account(Overratedmax1).

The only thing I see is that if I linked a secondary account AFTER October 26th it will not merge. I linked my accounts the SAME DAY I heard about cross progression. It might have been a few days after that date, I can't be completely sure. I just know it was around that time. Regardless, would returning players just be out of luck for cross progression because they weren't actively playing the game during the last week of October? I don't know if that's my issue but if it is that is a punch to the gut that because I disliked the state of the game for months.... It is now "MY FAULT?" that I chose to step away from the game? Both accounts are mine, I PAID FOR EVERYTHING ON BOTH and I can't use them when you have the capability to let me?

  • Idk if this post got archived so i'm replying again in hopes of getting an answer

    Hey @OverratedMax1,

Sorry for the late reply over the weekend.

If you played Apex on PlayStation, it was linked to an EA account. The first time any EA title is launched from a particular platform it would have you log in with an EA account, which would link your PSN to that particular EA account.

It is not possible to transfer any progress from one EA account to another, so by unlinking your PSN from that prior EA account and connecting it to the current one instead, you've lost access to whatever was unlocked on the previous EA account.

This would just be due to unlinking the accounts and has nothing to do with the October date mentioned. Regardless of whether an account was unlinked before or after that date, it's the act of unlinking that causes progress to be lost like this.

In that case you'd need to re-link your PSN to its previous EA account to try recovering that progress. If you create a new case here and select Game Support > The EA app > I want to update my EA Account information, you should be able to get in touch with the support team so they can assist with the re-linking if necessary.
