Re: Apex causing computer to shut down

Just experienced this myself. After countless tries - disabling STeam, Razer Synapse, Discord, GOG, etc. I've finally found that when Gforce Experience is set to Optymize game crashes either on main menu or after going to video settings. Without optymization from nvidia Experience, game works normally. IDK if this is the case but I have 21:9 monitor and native resulotion of 2560x1080 and Apex is warning me that in Advanced settings I'm trying to set "texture streaming" or whatever it is called in English to more than is sugested.

Its 2021 and this problem is still happening and its always when I am playing with someone and talking on discord I play for hours and it never shuts off or shows my monitor saying no signal, its annoying tbh i cant even play 1 match for more then 10 min because it says no signal found.

Here to say its now August 2021 and started yesterday and ONLY in ranked.. I randomly get - DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED ("The video card has been physically removed from the system, or a drive upgrade for the video card has occured.") or my computer legit just turns off.. AWESOME game

  • My Computer has been turning off randomly while playing Apex for about 1 month now.  It probably happens about once a day.

    My rig:

    RTX 3080 ROG Strix

    Ryzen 5900x

ASUS TUF Gaming Plus WIFI X570 Motherboard

    G.Skill 2 x 16GB ram

    NZXT Z73 AIO cooler

6 fans blowing full blast all the time

    850w thermaltake PSU

    2 SSDs, 1 M.2, 1 HDD

What I have tried so far to fix the problem with no success:

    Change power strip

    Change outlet

    Remove PCIE Extenders

    Update motherboard firmware

    Update driver chipset

    Repair game

    Apply new thermalpaste on CPU

Next steps I have in mind to take:

Swap out the GPU with my other 3080 (founders edition).

    Reinstall Windows.

    Buy 1000W PSU

Let me know your thoughts as I'm running out of ideas and this is really pissing me off.

Found out it's a hardware issue from my RTX 3080.  I put in my other card in and no crashing.

    Time to RMA.
