Re: Apex Legends Instruction at * referenced memory at * Memory could Not be Read

@Cpt_T0RTUGa

that's a completely different issue from the one being discussed in this thread, are you sure?

Updating my situation, still crashing:

Running origin+apex in compatibility mode for Windows 7, as administrator.

Disabled GeForce Experience/Overlay.

Uninstalled Visual C++ 2017, Reinstalled 2010+2015.

Samsung SSD Rapid Mode is disabled.

Tested fullscreen and borderless windowed displays with tons of different graphics settings.

Win7 Ultimate

GTX 1060 6GB

i3 8350k

16GB DDR4 RAM

    When launching Apex at the first introduction and during game, do you have little but noticeable stuttering and laggy sound ?

  • yes, at first i get lags in the menu and from time to time the game will start in windowmode.

    my friends are quitting over this and i myself, as much as i love this game (it made me download origin again after 6 years and actually give ea money for the first time since bf3...) cant stand crashing in about 50% of the games. its just not playable.

    i fixed all other issues myself with workarounds or some rollbacks(and i had alot of issues...). but the memory crash is completly random and doesnt seem to relate to ANYTHING at all.

    tried evrything recommended, fresh installs of apex and origin, admin mode, win 7 comp mode, high and not high priority, different settings, closing evrything else, overclocked or not, frame caps preload,other drivers etc etc.no matter what i crash out in 50+% of the games. even others that dont have the problem are raging at the game cause they can never play a full game with 3 in squad cause there is always someone crashing.

    win 7 x64

    2500k oc at 4,4

    1060 6 gb

    8gb 1333 ram

    game installed on an evo 860 500gb

    performance while not great is around 80-120 fps (with random dips to 50 for whatever reason). game when it runs, runs smooth, just the damn random memory crashes destory it.  in 3 hours now i could not finish a SINGLE game that went beyond the 10 minute mark.

    @Cpt_T0RTUGa

    Thank you for clarifying.

    I tried it, and I still get the referenced memory crashes.

    I'm glad your game is working, but the rest of us still can't play ☹️

    This is so frustrating. Can't play 4 games without me or a squad member crashing. How am I gonna recommend this game to anyone in this state? This crashing issue AND crashing without an error msg is making it really hard to enjoy this game.

    UPDATE:  Was able to play all Friday night without a crash and most of yesterday.  However, the game still randomly crashes with the referenced memory error.  So far I've had 3 crashes this morning, one at the beginning of the game and two inn the middle of a match.  I really hope they patch this soon!

    Okey, i have win7.
    For me works uninstall all of the "Microsoft Visual C++" and install only versions placed with apex download + install 2017 version from net. Two days without crash. and only this method works for me. Dont worry about system crash or sth
  • Also make bigger virtual memory on disc but this didnt work i think

  • for some reason it crashes every game for me with this error when i play with a party

    Strangely I also feel like the crashing was more frequent when playing in a party, like every 2-3 games vs 5-6 games when queueing solo. It could just be a coincidence...
