@Jammydodger095 I've heard of people having issues with Origin becoming a background process when doing something else. But not an actual game. It sounds like if Origin does that and you try and open a game that game will also do the same thing. If that is the case you can go to task manager and close origin there and reopen it then open the game from there. Otherwise I don't know. Never had the problem before.

DICE TeamHey, @Jammydodger095 can you try to do a clean boot to see if any programs are messing with APEX and turn off any overlay programs, such as Discord or Nvidia experience.
Is there any troubleshooting you done thats not been noted in the thread?
Can you add a Dxdiag so we can see what hardware and drivers you have?

I am experiencing the same problem. I encountered this early last week around 7/26/22.
I have exhausted my options, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times, I have changed all the setting to launch Apex as admin, I have done a clean boot several times, I have purged my DNS, I have uninstalled steam and reinstalled, I have uninstalled origin and reinstalled. I have done this for both steam and origin versions of apex. I have gone through the files and repaired Anti cheat, I have verified the integrity of game files several times with each reinstall I have done. I have deleted r5apex.exe and the verified the integrity to get a fresh .exe. I have deleted the entire game folders emptied recycle bin and the verified the integrity. I have uninstalled and reinstalled my graphics drivers. I have disabled all overlays. I have attached a DXdiag.
Please help.
I am also experiencing the same issue as above, also on around 7/26/22. I have followed all advice in this thread and nothing is working. One thing that I would like to note, is that it is something with my game/computer, as I can boot up the game onto my account on a friends computer with no issues.
Have you fixed this issue? I am currently experiencing the same exact thing and have done everything.
