Re: Does unlinking steam from EA settings lead to loss of data?

@Tradables hey! So after unlinking the origin account, the origin account will have a 6 months freeze-period where it can't be linked to any accounts?

I do know that the progress I made now is the same as when I login through the origin client. Does this mean I also won't be able to play on the made progress through the origin client aswell?

Besides that, if I relink it to another steam account would the link still be able to restore itself?

    Hey @Cantalera,

    Just to clarify, you would regain your progress if the same Steam account is re-linked to that same EA (Origin) Account, however you would not be able to link a different Steam account and essentially transfer progress from one Steam account to another.

    Each EA Account can only be linked to one other account of each platform in its lifetime.

    Hey @EA_Mako,

    That clarifies a whole bunch. The last thing I'm curious about is after having unlinked the account.

    At the moment, if I login to that account on Origin I still see the same progress as when I login on steam. Would this progress reset to an earlier state if I unlink and then login and play the game through the Origin client?

    @Cantalera
    The progress is essentially saved on the EA Account side, even when linked to Steam.

    You should see no change in that progress if you switch over to play through Origin. Resetting to an earlier state shouldn't be possible.

    Hey what if you unlink your switch and relink

    it will you lose your all of your apex skin etc
