@proph3sy Hi, can I check your region, and if your PC's language is set to anything other than English?

Also some troubleshooting might help with this, can you close the game, then go c:/users/yourusername/Saved Games\Respawn\Apex. Here you'll find 3 folders, you can delete the "assets" one, then start the game again and see if it has any impact.

    Hi, I checked my regional settings for my EA Account, and my Country/Region was set to Estados Unidos for some reason, so I changed it to United States (where I am), and left the language untouched (english).  I confirmed my pc was set to English under windows settings and it was.  I then deleted the assets folder as you said.  I logged in and voila, the "News" button now works, and the promotional splash screen information also showed up. 

    Can't believe it worked. Not sure which change or combination thereof did it.  Thank you so much :D
