Would disconnecting my Steam account make the Xbox Account the primary account? I only have my Xbox, Steam, and Google attached to this account, and the Steam account is the one I want to get overwritten. Im still not sure what the play is here. Im worried if I disconnect something, that everything will get messed up.
SpecterKrystal From what I understand about how Cross Progression works, I'm afraid that unlinking your Steam Account wouldn't resolve the issue as your Steam Account's Apex progress and data would had already been stored onto the connected EA Account during the Cross Progression merge.
All that unlinking would do is cause a loss of some, (or all), of the Apex progress and data that was stored on the EA Account.
If your Xbox Account was linked to your EA Account prior to getting the Cross Progression merge prompt, then your Xbox Account would of became the "main account" if it was a higher level than the PC/Steam Account.
If your Xbox Account was linked after the Cross Progression merge prompt, then its Apex progress and data was lost.
I linked the Xbox account before the waves of Cross progression went out. My Xbox account was 300+ levels higher than my current pc account. When that was, I don't know, but I'll check.
SpecterKrystal If the Xbox Account was still linked, (and you were prompted to merge it), then that sounds like there was a platform unlink at some point later down the line.
