Small stutters and popping/cracking sounds while playing with AMD XT 7900 XTX

Hi All!

I'm experience some weird issues while playing Apex Legends.

I feel the game is not very fluid and I experience some stuttering together with popping and cracking sounds. It  also happens during the menu.

I already tried with DX11 and DX12 same problem. I tried to enable v-sync on/off and with FPS unlimited and with default settings. Same problem.

I play at 4K with almost everything high settings and my GPU is used 60-70% according to RTSS.

My computer specs:

  • Intel i9 14900k

  • 32 GB DDR5 @ 6800MHz (XMP, also tried to disable XMP)

  • AMD XT 7900 XTX

  • Windows 11

  • MSI Z790 Pro A

  • Razer Deathadder Essential (tried with both 500hz and 1000hz polling rate and I don't have Razer software running)

After some further investigation, disabling the E-Cores on the BIOS fixes the issue...

I also notice while playing with E-Cores enabled, in Afterburner/RTSS I can see some load on E-Cores while playing and I can correlate the increase of load in E-Cores with stutters.

Any other solution to fix this than disable the E-Cores in the BIOS?

I find a bit strange other people with Intel Hybrid arch not having same problems. I have standard Windows 11 installation.

I also play another games like Diablo 4 and CS2 and I don't have same issues.

Anyone else having same kind of issues?
