xbox switch to pc and vice versa

okay so heres the problem that im having if im on my xbox account for an hour or more and want to swtich steam on the pc. i get the notice this profile is already logged in. im usually not waiting anytime before the switch. usually because im already playing with people and i want to be on the pc over xbox. is there any solutions ive had this problem since you were able to combine your accounts together.
