Hey usenforce50,
Sorry to hear your progress seems to have been reset. Usually when this happens, it's due to unlinking a platform at some point in the past.
Progress is stored on the EA account level, not on individual platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, etc. Unlinking a platform can cause a loss of your progress. This can be restored in many cases by re-linking the same accounts, but it's also possible the risks outlined below are permanent, especially if this was done prior to or around the time Cross Progression became active across all accounts.
When you unlink a platform account from your EA Account, you can link it to another EA Account, but your game progress won’t transfer over. That means you’ll permanently lose access to:
- game progress
- DLC, expansions, and anything extra you have for your game
- memberships and subscriptions
- previous drops and other rewards
- in-game purchases.
If you unlink a platform account that you use to play Apex Legends, you might have issues with Battle Pass leveling, item unlocks, and other errors.
I am seeing an Xbox account was unlinked from this EA account around the time you last mentioned playing (Valk released in 2021), which strongly suggests to me this is what's happened. Cross Progression was enabled for all accounts in 2023, however if you'd already unlinked the platform you played on previously and the account ran into the issues above as a result, there wouldn't have been any progress to share.
It would definitely be worth double-checking whether there was potentially a different EA account used prior to this one. If your Xbox was connected to a different EA account when that progress was first made, it's possible signing in there instead would give you access.
If this is absolutely the original EA account and you're no longer seeing that progress in-game, unfortunately it would appear to have been lost due to the unlink a few years back.
