Your accounts can t be linked because already linked to your EA Account

I am trying to play Apex on my new xbox...when I try and sign in with my gamer tag it just sends me to reset my password which I do....but then I get the following error

Your accounts can’t be linked because your Xbox account MisterBobzi already linked to your EA Account for 9b*****@disabled.ea.com. An EA Account can only be linked to one Xbox account in its lifetime.

How can I unlink my gamertag and assign to my xbox email pls?

    Are you choosing your platform, game and issue and then selecting a contact option and it's taking you back to the support home page?

    @3d13c430ed1ed9e5 If you know the email that is connected to your account you should be able to recover it. The same thing happened to me. My account was disabled but I wasn't able to recover it. I had to make a new EA account and then unlink my Xbox from the old account to the new one.

    Unfortunately, when I did that it caused a major bug that locks you out of everything on the main menu. EA has said they are working on a fix but no release date has been announced yet.

    @EA_Aljo hello, if you do live chat...it doesnt allow you to pick a platform..the drop down option is shows but doesnt list anything.

    tried Firefox, Chrome, Edge on laptop and Safari and firefox on iPhone

    Then you’re useless. It shouldn’t be a case of having to work out brain surgery in your basement off of 4Chan just to be able to play your * game. The least you could do is offer a little generic help you useless hack. Your response makes me want to delete this game before I’ve even started because you useless clowns won’t let me log in to my own EA account to use this game. I mean WT actual F?

    I found a solution that worked for me.

    1. logging into EA with my Microsoft/Xbox email.

    2. From there, it's already linked to xbox in "Connections". I unlinked it.

    3. log out from xbox email account on EA and log in to your main EA account

    4. Try linking again and it work!

    I hope this works for you. The "help" portal is just an infinite loop and the chat/email form is broken even in incognito mode.
