BF6 =/ The Finals Destruction
BF6, so close to memorializing BFBC2, BF3, and BF4. So close to breaking the industry in FPS shooters, just to fall short. It was by a breadth, BF6 had the ability to combine realism and modern combat, just to fall short on gimmicks to be greedy to steal demographics from COD & The Finals. The reason why BF6 is going to fail is due to board members overreaching into other genres and diluting the tunnel vision that BF6 should be reaching for its historical players. BF6 should focus on its team-play, realism and multi-combat/discipline roles. I am not by any means saying to get close to a Hell Let Loose or Squad style hardcore complexities, but maintain the median there. Now you have Sledgehammers doing more force than C4. This is an ice breaker to include further unrealistic concepts just for extra reach. It's sadly disappointing. Aim for realism, but not simulation. Do this, and your consistent demographics will give you return business rather than the fleeting money you are trying to vie for. You have enough per purchase. Stop trying to dilute your position and product.
