BF6 In the right direction for greatness?!

My dear players, do you believe that BF6 has the potential to be one of the best battlefields of all time?

It still needs polishing and some finishing touches, but overall I honestly think so. Honestly yes, I think BF6 has a lot of potential. What's makes me believe it's the attention that the developers have given to the small details in game in this Season 3, little things often unnoticed by most of players  But when it all comes together, it creates an identity, like a brand. I haven't seen it in a Battlefield game for a long time, This means they are doing things with pleasure and enthusiasm, which is very important. Now it just depends on the game directors/EA and their ideas. If they really want to, I think this could be one of the best battlefields of all time, but this has to be taken very seriously. They're doing very well, this is the right path to follow, now we just have to have faith that EA doesn't change direction as it has done in the past. they have everything they need, they just need to cook well.

Well, don't know about the greatest, since it still has some little identity crisis, but it's a very strong game as it is. In my opinion, DICE shouldn't listen too much for the "bring back" crowd and follow the formula they always had: make every new game special The biggest problem with BF6 (aside from the small maps) is the fact that it doesn't have anything new. BF 3-4 presented tons of innovations (although let's be clear, 4 was a horribly imbalanced mess with casual gunplay and thousands of cheaters), BF1 had unique setting, feeling of grandeur and and wonderful close combat mechanics, BFV had the best gunplay ever, unusual design and setting (less known battles of WWII), and absolutely perfect balance of every component; a peak of everything achieved before that. Even 2042 had 128p battles (that I miss a very much) and those tornados.

BF6 tries to marry fast-paced gameplay with BF4 nostalgia, but it's not unique. And the attempts to cater to BF4 crowd might be useful in the short term, but they won't make the core of the game better. Constantly "bringing back", i.e. regurgitating, something old is a sign of professional incompetence. Such legendary series as Battlefield shouldn't rest on their laurels or dilute its essence with the useless overhyped stuff from other genres (operators, Battle Royale etc.); it should set the new standards of all-out warfare games. Just an option from the top of my head: the modern warfare is very much drone-based. Why not implement that in this or the next game, instead of wasting resources on REDSEC nonsense? I'm not talking about turning Battlefiled into skirmish of two drone swarms, but it would've been interesting to have the land drones (like that robodog from 2042) fighthing along regular soldiers.
