Essential UI Request: Minimap Position Customization for Competitive Players

I am writing to suggest a critical update regarding the HUD layout. Currently, the minimap is locked in the bottom-left corner, which feels extremely counter-intuitive for players coming from other major shooters.

  • In most industry-leading competitive titles like Counter-Strike (CS:GO/CS2), Valorant, and Fortnite, the minimap is traditionally located in the top-left or top-right. Players who have spent years in these games have developed a "muscle memory" and visual habit of checking the top of the screen for information. Having the map fixed at the bottom in Battlefield disrupts the gameplay flow and puts veteran FPS players at a disadvantage.

I strongly request that you add an option to:

Move the Minimap to the top-left or top-right corner.

Customize HUD elements to align with modern FPS standards.

Additionally, I would like to receive an update via email regarding the status of this feedback. I hope to hear that this suggestion has been reviewed and taken into consideration for future development. I look forward to being notified of any progress on this matter.

    It’s not just about 'Battlefield tradition,' it’s about player freedom and basic ergonomics. We’re in 2026; calling a simple HUD customization 'unnecessary' is a pretty outdated take. Just because you're used to one spot doesn't mean it’s not a blind spot for someone else. Adding an option doesn’t ruin your 'classic' experience, but it sure makes the game a lot more playable for thousands of others. Don't be so closed-minded to basic quality-of-life improvements.

  • They do need to make the hud more customisable.

    Like resizing, repositioning etc

    I wouldn't say they need to do anything because all the other copy and paste shooters do it.

    Why can't games be unique anymore?

    Oh and the ability to customise the whole hud in a game isn't a modern gaming thing, it was standard for almost all pc fps in the 90's and early 2000's.

  • Totally unneeded, this is the classic position for Battlefield. No need to follow what you claim to be "modern FPS standards".
