What problem does this solve? Why would they need to change the entire class layout at this point?

Class exploitation. Assault and support can easily replace recon and class balanceis broken overall. He went for a complete overhaul while I tried to keep the same format they currently have.

I know its very unlikely that they will change it but I enjoy the discussion on how it could have been balanced better. As their current format is basically 2042 but no special characters.
