I agree with the OP here. Started back with 1942 as well. The game has its moments of fun, but most of the time it is frustrating to play. The narrowness of the maps for the game modes really have turned this game into a CoD style respawn shooter. Simply awful.
Give it a year, perhaps they will make better changes like they did with 2042. We can only hope for the best since we don't know if they are listening to us.
Oh...and let's hope they give us the option to turn off crossplay. Yes, i know there is a way to turn it off, but not having it as a legit option for PC players to disable it is just bad practice. At least we do have a shining example of how to do crossplay correctly with a recent popular game that released giving the PC players the ability to turn off crossplay without causing us to wait or play against bots.
What you mention here is exactly my feeling. The game is not casual and hard to enjoy if you're not 100% locked in. You get killed trying to get to the objective and it is impossible to move around without getting beemed by multiple campers impossible to spot.
Maby we're going to see changes in a year or so but why do they make the same mistakes over and over again? How is it even possible? All you have to do is take some key notes of vital functions and bring them to the next game. Voila it's coded into the game before release and you have happy customers.
These settings have been a standing topic for the past 15 years, how can you possibly oversee them?
