Totally agree with everything you're saying. The game cateres to oblivious kids and almost every attachment, mechanic and map design forces a stationary and campy play style. You literally get punished for engaging enemies, capturing objectives and moving in general.
Exactly as you stated, as soon as you click mouse 1 you get beemed from multiple directions by enemies you can not see because they're stationary hiding in a corner or cupboard, impossible to push because there's only one way in and most often behind a deployable cover.
The BF1 style spotting is superior in every way compared to this model. Even though I think it was a bit excessive in BF1 it's still better. Because you actually have to see the enemy and push a button. It would be hard to implement in BF6 though because the blurry art style makes everything melt together.
This also renders almost every attachment that doesn't hide you from the mini map useless. The only ones worth using is suppressors and the flash hider. I can't even imagine the level of neglect involved to take a decision like that.
For sure, I am a big critic of the spotting. Even when I'm the one benefiting from it, I make it a point to call it out in rounds, and say how crazy it is. I have gotten a lot of sniper kills that I shouldn't have, through walls of smoke or fire, simply by aiming just below the marker. Without once ever seeing the player I had eliminated, that's got to cause a lot of players to get falsely reported for cheating while it's actually the spotting model.
And, my server connection and latency is pretty solid and consistent. I don't why rounds ghost through players as bad as they do, it's maddening.
BTW, how do you turn off crossplay on PC? Do you create a file and save it in Documents/Battlefield/Settings ?
or, open the PROFSAVE file with a text editor and create a new entry then save?
