EA App Malfunctioning and Sims 4 Crashing

If I can even get my EA to launch without it telling me multiple times that it cannot connect to the servers, my Sims 4 game will last for less than five minutes before crashing. I do not have any mods nor CC, and I have cleared my cache. I have restarted my laptop twice now, and ran the App Recovery option on the EA app. I have no idea what is going on and I am unbelievably frustrated.

I, too, have been experiencing this issue for the past 12 hours. If I can get the app to open, however, after countless attempts, the games in my library are missing, or I can't launch any games. I've verified my ISP and any computer or graphical updates that could remotely be the cause and have had no luck. It seems the issue is random, as I've been able to access the EA App from a different computer on the same wifi connection with zero issues.
On the downed-sites reporting websites, not many, but a large portion of people are reporting the same issue with the EA App with login, server connection, or launching games in general.
Also, if it's relevant, for a brief moment last night, I was able to access the EA App with no issue, but the only game that could launch was the Sims 2 Legacy Collection, which then subsequently crashed.
Other notes: I do have mods for Sims 4, but nothing game-changing to prevent the game from opening, I have Restarted the App and used App Recovery multiple times, which usually leads to me back to being locked into the vicious 'Can't Connect to Servers' pop-ups cycle, and I've restarted my internet and computer numerous times.
Unfortunately, I haven't seen anything from EA mentioning this issue, and their Server Status page says everything is Online, so I guess it's just a waiting game... :/

  • I am experiencing similar issues. I got a new gaming PC yesterday to play the sims and was trying to set it up but the EA app keeps crashing or saying there is server or connectivity issues. When I can get in, I can't download any of my content. I have restarted my computer. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I have cleared my cache. Nothing is working.

I have thankfully, somehow, managed to get 2 tickets opened for this issue. I am currently chatting with a support agent, who is trying their best but is still just telling me to repeat the same instructions I have been doing all morning. Restart, repair, clear cache, re-install, repeat. After hours of this, I am firmly certain that this is 100% a reflection of EA's servers not being available, DESPITE what they have listed on the website. I am putting this whole headache behind me for now, please trust that there is nothing that we as players can do to resolve this. It is, once again, EA's issue that they will certainly take their time addressing.

That was my thought, too. I am also having the same issue. I'm rather upset that I can't play Sims 4 in an offline mode when the EA servers are down.
