[INFO REQUEST] Error Code: EC:10005 In EA app

I’ve had this issue since JULY 2025!! I’ve spent over 1K in the Sims games that I can’t even access because the EA app won’t launch. I’ve done all the local troubleshooting, I’ve used neighbors WiFi, hotspot, etc. I’ve done everything that Google and EA has recommended. This is 100% an EA bug. I finally got someone on chat to say this is a technical bug with no fix at the moment. So frustrating!

The EC:10005 error signals connectivity issues, as found on this page. If you haven't already, please try to go through as many of the connectivity troubleshooting steps on this page as you can, especially changing your DNS and seeing if there's improvement.

For some stupid reason. I am not able to play my 100+$ games worth of library. I feel really frustrated and I even want to use some curse words here in this disscusion. I tried every kind of advices on fixing this issue of yours and even tried to reinstal the launcher. And this is what I got for all my work... nothing. I feel really foolish not to purchase your games on Steam and rather use your suggested way. That is the EA App.

Ive had this issue for well over a year on my Mac and still no fix. I reached out to support and apparently it's a technical bug and they reported it but recommended coming over here and to post and upvote(like) posts to help boost visibility. But I'm with you, I just want to play my sims 😅

I'm experiencing a persistent issue with the EA app on macOS where the app fails immediately on launch during "connecting to app", before authentication completes. Error code 10005 pops up immediately. This has been going on for over a year(I just miss playing the Sims 😅)

Ive tried all the known troubleshooting- uninstall/restart/install. Clearing all cache. Resetting macOS permissions/background items. Confirmed EA background service is running. Tested on multiple networks, including my neighbors and mobile hotspot. Disabled firewall/VPN. 

This fails before authentication completes, so it does not appear to be a local cache or network issue. EA support has finally confirmed this appears to be a technical bug and has logged it internally.

Hi! Have seen people struggle with this error code. Have someone found the solution to it? Have tried using hotspot from my phone, and checked to see if theres a firewall blocking. I have also deleted the app several times and tried to download again. Want to play Sims now!!🥰

Since last night I have tried to open ea app but it says it can’t connect to ea servers and also an error code saying to me check my connection. My internet is working properly. Please help me with this matter.

So I saw that there were other forums on this issue, but I was told to report the issue here. I have been trying to log into my EA app and I keep on getting the Error Code EC: 10005. I did all of the troubleshooting methods that others have mentioned, checking my internet connection, restarting my computer, deleting and reinstalling the EA app, checked that the EA app server is working (which it is right now) nothing seems to be working. I emailed the customer support and was told to post a forum and it will be solved faster. Can I please have some help?

I've been trying for months to get this error fixed. I reached out towards the start of the year and have still not been able to solve the issue. I have tried ALL troubleshooting recommended to me in the forums and by tech support (and no, it is not an internet issue or a server problem like the error says - the error shows up regardless of how I am connected to the internet)
