Lost connection due to servers

Hi. I was playing a squad battles game and I was winning quite comprehensively. All

of a sudden, I lost connection through not fault of my own. I logged back in and lost the game 3-0. I have logged the issue with support but is there anyone on here who can help me a little quicker? I obviously would like some sort of compensation

    Hi there. We're not able to issue compensation for disconnecting. If you disconnect frequently, we should go through some troubleshooting. If you want to do that, please run the Connection Quality Report and get me a screenshot of the overall score as well as the match history. You can find the button for that on the left side of the screen. Thanks!

  • Many of us have had similar issues. My modem has shown solid lights and the game says I lost connection. EA will walk you through troubleshooting YOUR network and connection, but what I have NEVER seen them do is admit that THEIR servers are unreliable. Only two weeks back I lost three matches in Champions/ Rivals due to dropped connection (all while my modem was in full view and purring like a kitten). I posted in here and didn’t hear a peep out of EA, but I had three or four other folks chime in that they had experienced similar issues. All evidence pointed to the EA servers becoming too congested and/or unstable, but they didn’t utter a word to acknowledge those of us who’d lost matches as a consequence let alone take any responsibility for the dropped connections..

    So, if you think there might be an issue with your network or ISP then you have nothing to lose (but time) by going through their troubleshooting process. However, if you believe your connection is solid and you don’t experience these issues with any of your other online games then you might just be wasting your time because EA is allergic to taking responsibility for its own stuff (in that regard, it is always an “it’s not me, it’s you” relationship with them).

    Hi… it was not my connection that was the problem! Everything else was fine except for eafc25… your servers were unreliable and surely you can view what happened. Please take responsibility that it was the servers fault for kicking me out of the game, thus losing 3-0 where I should have been given the win. I do not disconnect frequently thank goodness. But I reiterate…. This was not MY connection that was the matter, it was EA servers. You need to take responsibility and issue me with some sort of compensation. Thank you!

    We will keep an eye out for any issues. Unfortunately, compensation is not available for this. Please let me know if you change your mind about troubleshooting.

    I get that EA doesn’t want to make it a policy to provide compensation anytime a user/customer claims they’ve been disconnected. Fair enough. BUT, it’s damaging to any positive relationship EA might wish to have with the FC community of users when it refuses to acknowledge ANY shortcomings in its services. You say “we will keep an eye out,” but when has EA ever admitted that it has performance issues with its servers??? I’ve born witness to countless customer complaints in these forums about disconnections and sluggish (laggy) play and not ONCE have I EVER seen EA own ANY of it. So, it stretches credulity to the absolute breaking point for EA to say “we will keep an eye out” when all past evidence suggests that it’s just going to keep on behaving as it has all along—as if the performance problems users report are NEVER an issue on the company’s end. It’s this obstinate stance more than anything else that destroys any sort of trust (let alone good vibes) that ought to exist between the FC community of users and the company. 

    We all love football, and most of us once loved this gaming franchise, but since buying FC 25 in January (my first purchase since FIFA 20) I’ve been really disappointed by what I’ve witnessed in these forums. EA staff are perfectly civil, but that doesn’t mean users/customers don’t feel deeply disrespected when those staff have no useful responses to their problems because the company sitting behind them wants to act like no problem actually exists. Considering we all forked out considerable money and have invested significant time in this game, it comes across as a fairly contemptuous stance that EA has chosen to stake out. Maybe EA doesn’t care and is laughing all the way to the bank, but if it actually values customers like me orJosshusbands39​ then it ought to stop insulting our intelligence with the “we’ll keep an eye out” nonsense, admit that it has connectivity issues and get real about fixing the game.

  • When it’s on eas end they have given compensation before like a week or so ago. The big thread in the technical section. So that gives credibility to when they say it’s something not on EAs end. Hopefully you guys can fix your issues. I hardly ever disconnect so maybe try the trouble shooting it might fix it for you.

    Compensation for lost connection? This I’ve got to see. Please share the link. I posted in here about getting a dropped connection three times in less than 48 hours a week or two ago and didn’t even receive a reply, so if someone else got compensation for a similar issue I definitely want to follow up.

  • It’s the one stickied with over 300 posts in it. Thats why if this is happening it’s likely on your end. You should run the tests ea is asking for if you want to solve it.

     

    Actually it was 25 days ago. Time flies I guess it was longer than I thought. Also I believe everyone who experienced it has already received compensation. So yeah doing the troubleshooting might help you and the op.

    …which got no response. This just happened to be the first one I came across, but there are countless others (including a post of my own citing the same situation) and virtually none of them receive a reply let alone compensation.

  • I would imagine it depends if it’s EAs fault or not.  If you are dcing all the time or frequently it’s likely your connection. So you wouldn’t get compensation. 

    Try the troubleshooting see if you can fix it.
