Crash on startup - BSOD “Your device ran into a problem” with FC 26
Hi,
Since I installed EA SPORTS FC 26, my PC randomly restarts with a blue screen (“Your device ran into a problem”) during the initial loading screen of the game.
The crash only happens at startup — never during gameplay.
When the game actually launches, it runs perfectly.
In the Windows Event Viewer I get the following error:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck.
Bugcheck code: 0x000000da (0x0000000000000302, 0xffffd77000000000, 0x0000000000000002, 0x000000000f000000)
Caused by: ntoskrnl.exe
My PC configuration:
Operating System: Windows 11 (clean installation)
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4060
CPU: Intel i5-10400
Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX B460-G GAMING
RAM: 32 GB DDR4
NVIDIA Driver: latest Game Ready Driver
EA App: latest version
Things I’ve already tried:
Full Windows 11 format and clean installation.
Updated BIOS and all drivers (chipset, audio, network, GPU).
Clean NVIDIA driver installation using DDU in Safe Mode.
Repaired the game files through the EA App.
Uninstalled and reinstalled EA AntiCheat (Javelin).
Ran both EA App and the game as Administrator.
Enabled Core Isolation in Windows Security.
Disabled all overlays (Discord, GeForce Experience, EA App).
Disabled antivirus and firewall during tests.
Ran sfc /scannow and DISM to repair Windows files.
Tested RAM and SSD – no errors detected.
Problem behavior:
After a clean reinstall or after reinstalling EA AntiCheat, the game launches fine several times.
After restarting the PC, the crash returns at startup.
No other games or apps cause BSOD.
The crash is always linked to ntoskrnl.exe.
If anyone from EA Support or the community has encountered similar issues with FC 26 or EA AntiCheat, I’d really appreciate any advice or fix.
Thanks a lot for your help.
