I’ve been in the playtest over a year and the early access release is no better. I expected a lot more.
I've been playing the game for a year as well.
It's exactly as I expected. We've been essentially playing this same map, with these same challenges, with the same store items so Early Access could be as solid as possible. The lighting and graphics have changed for sure, but not much else besides bug fixes and refining. The addition of tasks was a good addition. The challenges feel like chores so being able to earn XP more passively was an improvement.
I think changes will come very slowly with the game. We'll be drip fed new things every 3 months for seasons.
Not what I envisioned for the next Skate, but it is what it is.

To playstesters, this is year-old content. To new players? Pretty fresh!
The challenges get stale quickly, regardless.

And also, I'm sure they don't want the people who have been playing the same content all this time to fall off the game. Those are the people they can rely on to keep playing more than anyone.

I checked out that new parkour game, They have game modes like tag utilising their parkour system. They were drop kicking their friends. If they’re going to release game modes as seasons appear and string them out, I would even be happy with collision to spice it up a notch. Something anyway. Here’s to another couple of months of waiting (for some cosmetics and a new trick) 🥴🤦♀️ Wonder where Brickswich is on their road map….. did I miss something?
We're about due for an update on that. The last "The Grind" said we would get an update on the season pass details this month. And we're halfway through and post EA launch.
