Still cannot log into the game - “hangs” on the loading screen.

Hi guys, 

I raised a ticket earlier after being concerned about my account security. I still cannot log into my account to check it, so would appreciate it if someone could please check my account in the backend to ensure the account is secure. When I try to log in, I either receive a connection issue error (attached to my previous post linked above) or it continues onto the character loading screen and just hangs there. Everything was working fine before I visited a twitch account that could be fraudulent, which is why I am concerned about phishing and my account security.

I did manage to log into my account on the SWTOR website and changed my password, but I am still concerned that I still cannot log onto any of my characters within the game.

Please advise what I should do next or whether you can confirm the account is safe and has not been compromised. I have also raised a post in the SWTOR forums.

    Check your mobile plan in case, here in Australia for example a lot of our mobile plans include free calls to US and UK etc

  • Update - I have now been able to log into my account, but I've lost billions of credits on a few of my characters. I don't blame anyone else but myself for thinking a twitch site would be safe. Even with an authenticator locking my account, it was still hacked. Obviously, never leaving the game to visit a website you think is safe could have prevented this. But I thought the authenticator would keep my account safe :(

    I did email the support team as you suggested, and they redirected me here because I live outside the US. I can't log into my account at all because the support team may have blocked the account from being accessed at my request (for safety purposes). Are you able to reset the password and unblock the account?

  • I just changed my password to a new password, but there is still a block on my account. Please let me know if you are able to remove the block so I can log back in. Thank you.

    If there is a block on the account due to being compromised, email response should of been for you to call swtor support when the lines are open, as you will need to verify the account is yours to regain access

    That was the reply for anyone living in the listed countries, which I don't. Does this mean I have to pay for a call to the US or the UK to get assistance with this issue even though I don't live in either country?
