Nonsense.

You've had enjoyment out of what you spent money on, and even if you didn't engage with the new content you can still use the content you spent money on.

Dress it up all you like- what you have done is theft as these are the reasons you can give for a refund:

I didn't mean to buy this.
A child/minor made purchases without permission.
I didn't mean to sign up for a subscription.
I didn't intend to renew a subscription.
My purchase doesn't work as expected.
In-app purchase not received.

There is an "other" option but generally this list above is a guide and "other" is not for the use you think it is. You should also not assume this matter is closed as EA and Apple can certainly come back to you on this.

DUNCAN1919 I tried to get a refund for a mistaken purchase and CG told me no and if I requested it from a different source they would block my account.

Also, children purchases are not refundable. There have been tons of class actions lawsuits to get those refunds.

Also good advice about the matter being not closed. Although unless OP was whaling hard I doubt it would be worth the cost of Apple or CG to pursue it further.

But I disagree with it being theft but that's whats up for debate. Considering it was only 6 months of refunds and not a full account refund which I would consider theft. However, I acknowledge that you have better logical than the FBI folks here lol so I have no quarrel with you.

Ultimately, The line of Live service fulfilling their obligations has not been legally defined and people will have differing opinions on what that standard is. For me, this isn't a clear case of theft here.
