sims 3 service initialization failed (0x065d0274)

sims 3 service initialization failed (0x065d0274)

Hi, My game would work if I took everything out of the folder in Documents and started fresh. I finally started over so I lost everything. I downloaded EA, all of the games, all store content, and set everything up fresh. Just started a new family and storyline and working on setting up the house. It's been slow and then catching up every few seconds so I save very often. The first few days it was crashing all the time. Two days ago, it went back to bringing up the sims 3 service initialization failed (0x065d0274). What can I do other than start over? I can't keep starting all over as it literally takes hours and I wanted to use that time to play. I've cleared the cache, repaired the game, etc.  I have a Mac and I play on EA.

Also, now when I contact EA help, when I try to chat it doesn't tell me the estimated time and brings up a blank chat window. I kept trying and now it doesn't even bring up the case number on the display screen and the chat window never opens and doesn't tell me how long to wait for a chat. I have no option to contact EA.

  • missfelicityk  Are you currently seeing the Service Initialization Failed error, and if so, does it help to clear the EA App's cache and repair the game (EA App > Sims 3 > Manage > Repair)?  If not, does it help to remove the Sims 3 folder from Documents > Electronic Arts?  This would remove, but not delete, your saves and other user data.

I'd be happy to try to help with the other issues too, but the first step is to get the game running.

Yes, it starts perfectly if I remove it, but I've already taken everything down reinstalled everything literally two days ago. I did all that but I already started completely over and a few days later now I have to do all of it again? I have nothing from the last family and towns I'd been working on and no custom content or mods. How can my game get ruined?

Also, I tried to contact EA but it won't connect to chat now even though the transcript says it is. The case number is blank after I click chat and it never connects to a chat. I don't know what to do.

Ok, so I removed the folder from the Documents. I redownloaded everything from the store by going to the Downloads Dashboard and installing everything. Then I transferred the world that was missing back over and put the SavedSims and Saves back in and it worked!
