Throwbacks

Hello Simmers :-)

I’ve been playing sims since the very first game that ever came out on PC. I’ve had a few favorites, but I’d say’s Sims Bustin Out, Sims 2 pets and Sims 3 are my top three.

theres something’s I wish Sims 4 had like…

The missions and characters progression Bustin out had from Mamas house, Mimi’s place, Dudley’s trailer and more. That was a really neat concept for sims.

The pets in Sims 2 pets. I liked the animals and how you got to go into the nice community they had, with your pet and bring them to the groomers and shop at the store. That was really nice.

Sims 3 was awesome I loved the different locations it had. The bookstore, the grocery store, movie theater, the restaurant the graveyard and so much more. Love that you were able to shop and interact with all these different locations.

I enjoy sims 4 very much and play it quite often but I truly wish it had some of the factors that went into the other sims. Wish they would bring some missions, some pets, more places to interact other than a Gym, Museum and Bar. Wish there were more everyday locations like a grocery store, mall, arcade and some other activity locations. Being that it has gotten so repetitive after all these years. And I own about 5 map packs on Sims 4 and although they’re all different in ambiance the travel locations are practically the same like I listed before Gym, Museum, Bar, Lounge and Parks.

Also an online option to play with other simmers would absolutely be a killer move for SIMS. I would LOVE THAT for the Simming Community! That would be so awesome and would certainly captivate retired Simmers lol.

  • Wildflowersxo1 Those are the things I loved about previous Sims games too, especially Bustin Out. I loved moving to different locations and as a builder the first thing I'd do would be to rebuild everything. Mom's house and Dudley's trailer got quite the upgrade and so did the nightclub...I mean they were sleeping on chairs when my Sim arrived! I wonder if they could make a scenario for Sims 4 with a similar theme, to move in with an established original family and give them an upgrade of some kind.

I liked the pet grooming service in previous games too. I liked being able to send them off to be pampered and since we could directly control pets back then we could see the pampered buffs they had when they returned. I wish we could at least send pets off to be groomed now. I'm noticing they get grubby more quickly lately and get sick of bathing them.

You can add different types of locations depending on content though. If you have Get to Work you can build a shopping mall. I built a successful mall in my game with small gift shops, an ice rink and food court. Only one Sim can own it at a time. You can create an arcade too. Get Together has an arcade machine but the base game has the gaming mats. You'd just need to set the lot as the right lot type depending on what content you have. I have a Rocket Park with all kinds of science activities and I used the Generic lot type but it didn't get many visitors so I switched it to National Park I think. Seasons adds rinks so I have a few of those too and then there's Bowling from the Bowling Night pack. I put those in Gyms and Bars. They make public lots a bit more interesting and fun to visit. Growing Together adds some great items to liven up public pools too. I also like the camping gear from Outdoor Retreat for making a campsite or for extending a trip to the Forgotten Grotto or Sylvan Glade. Movie Hangout or Little Campers both add outdoor movie screens to make an outdoor cinema and I add those to parks.

  • Me personally I loved Bustin Out but I didn't like the mission I like to play the game my way, however my favorite will always be Sims 2 it felt like Soap Opera with the already made drama lol, it has way bigger worlds, no it was not open world however it was okay because we had cars and npc vehicles it felt lively. I would also like to add Sims 2 Bon Voyage I think it's the only one that displayed a vacation in the game as a vacation like check into the hotel, room service, maids, relax by the pool go to the beach, or the snow, or outdoor. It had 3 vacation location you can choose from and your Sims will get memories from them and even relax. Sims 2 Free time the hobbies really expanded the game and I liked seasons and celebration.

  • i made a topic based on grocery store and super market Can we have a supermarket? | EA Forums - 12082347

same with clothing shop Can we have a clothing shop and a new lot challenge? | EA Forums - 12086009

both versions should be basegame, maybe we can have a new basegame world

and either the lot trait or challenge to make it impossible to change certain clothes unless if you buy them in the clothing shop (very similair to The Sims 2, i want that kind of version in The Sims 4)

same with making food, the closest one we can get is the simple living lot challenge but it's not the same, i want a supermarket and the grocery store as basegame update, it should be possible to create them in basegame, the lot trait or challenge you either need to visit the supermarket or grocery store to buy them (and how much you want to buy them just like in The Sims 2 version, i want that version in The Sims 4) or you need to order them by the phone or computer, the more you want to buy them, the more money it costs

and i agree we need more venues in basegame, i feel like Willow Creek and Oasis Spring are somehow the same, not just the layout but also the venue type in my opinion

i saw your post this morning (evening where i live now) but i had no time to answer untill now
