This may have been mentioned before, but I'd really like to assign seats around a dining table to my Sims, the way beds (and sides of beds for double beds) can be assigned. In real families, people often sit in the same seats around the table. That is Dad's seat, that is Mom's seat, that is Junior's seat, and so on...

Without the ability to assign seats around a dining table, I end up with the kind of chaos that I saw recently when 6 kids were doing homework, then grabbing leftovers, then doing extra credit homework. There were 8 seats at the table, and the parents were standing, helping various kids with their homework.

The kids started at slightly different times and completed their homework at slightly different rates, so one would finish, go to the fridge, and sit down somewhere else to eat. Then another would finish, go to the fridge, and sit down somewhere else to eat. And so on, until one would finish eating, clear their dishes, and sit down somewhere else to do extra credit homework. And so on.

It just looks so weird to have them bouncing around from one seat to another like that.
