Mixed Two Emotions
Human can be Sadly Happy (cry of joy) so it doesn't make sense that the sims can feel only one emotion at a time.
Here the idea limited to 10 mixed emotions :
- Melancholy : Happy + Sad ("Bittersweet")
- In the current game, Happy is the "emotional bleach"—it wipes everything else clean. If a Sim’s mother dies, but they are in a "Beautifully Decorated" room eating a "High-Quality Meal," they often stop being Sad. It feels fake.
- The Context: Graduation, a Sim moving out of the house, a wedding after a recent loss, or an elderly Sim seeing their grandkids.
- The Mechanic: The "Happy" moodlets don't remove the "Sad" ones. Instead, they merge.
- The Drama: The Sim isn't "Fine." They are Melancholy. They might be smiling (Happy), but they have a "Longing Stare" or "Reflective Sigh" (Sad).
- Lustful/Passionate : Angry + Flirty ("Volatile Passion")
- Relationship Basis: Enemies with Benefits or Ex-Spouses.
- The Drama: The "I hate you, but I want you" trope. This is for Sims who have -100 Friendship and +100 Romance.
- Gameplay: Instead of switching between a scowl and a smile, the Sim gets unique "Aggressive Romance" socials (e.g., Rough Dip Kiss or Vindictive Flattery).
- Resentful : Sad + Angry ("The Bitter Grudge")
- Relationship Basis: Divorced or Betrayed.
- The Drama: Pure resentment. The Sim is heartbroken that the relationship ended but furious that it happened.
- Gameplay: This prevents "Happy" moodlets from a nice room from fixing their mood. They might autonomously Sabotage the ex's plumbing while crying.
- Conflicted : Tense + Flirty ("Forbidden Attraction")
- Relationship Basis: Crush on Married Sim or In-Law.
- The Drama: The stress of "we shouldn't be doing this."
- Gameplay: High-stakes romance. Every romantic success gives a Tense moodlet because of the fear of being caught. It adds a "risk" factor that is currently missing from cheating.
- Calculated : Scared + Focused ("The Paranoid Planner")
- Relationship Basis: Enemy (with a high-power Sim).
- The Drama: A Sim who is terrified of their rival but meticulously planning their downfall.
- Gameplay: They gain logic skills faster while "Scared," representing the frantic energy of a villain's henchman or a cornered protagonist.
- Unstable : Sad + Playful ("The Manic Mask")
- Relationship Basis: Widowed or Recently Dumped.
- The Drama: Using humor to hide a deep, crushing depression. The "Sad Clown."
- Gameplay: The Sim tells jokes and does "Funny" interactions, but periodically breaks down into a "Cry for Help" interaction. It feels more human than just being "Fine" because a TV show was funny.
- Vindictive/Judgmental : Angry + Confident ("The Self-Righteous Fury")
- Relationship Basis: Mortal Enemies.
- The Drama: The "Villain Monologue" state. They aren't just mad; they feel completely justified and powerful in their anger.
- Gameplay: Unlocks the "Declare Archenemy" interaction with a 100% success rate. They don't just argue; they dominate conversations.
- Restless : Bored + Tense ("The Gilded Cage")
- Relationship Basis: Married (with 0 Romance/Friendship decay).
- The Drama: A Sim trapped in a loveless, stagnant marriage. They are bored by their spouse but stressed by the monotony.
- Gameplay: Leads to a "Mid-Life Crisis" faster. They might autonomously look for "Drama" or "Excitement" elsewhere just to feel anything else.
- Infatuated/Smitten : Dazed + Flirty ("The Love Potion / Smitten")
- Relationship Basis: New Crush or Infatuation.
- The Drama: Being so in love you can’t function. The "Stupid in Love" trope.
- Gameplay: The Sim fails basic tasks (cooking, fixing objects) because they are distracted by thoughts of the other Sim. It makes "Love" feel like a legitimate condition rather than just a mood.
- Flustered : Embarrassed + Happy ("The Secret Success")
- Relationship Basis: Affair Partner or Thief.
- The Drama: You just got exactly what you wanted (money, a lover), but you know you hurt someone to get it.
- Gameplay: The Sim is "Happy" from the win, but the "Embarrassed" keeps them from sharing that happiness with others. They become socially distant while privately enjoying their gain.

Lustful/Passionate, I literally have a Romantic/Jealous/Hot-Headed Sim I try to mimic this. I wish Frenzied Kiss was unlocked to Hot-Headed Sims at all times. Has the Voodoo Doll bound to partner to make flirty more often. I'd LOVE if each of these traits were fleshed out more, and even better if Romantic/Jealousy combo specifics and Romantic/Hot-Headed combo specifics (also make Hot-Headed Sims immune to Cardiac Explosions and stronger angry and hopefully passionate mooldets). If they aren't flirty I want them angry (or lustful/passionate) with occasional tense and confident.
