Updated Neighborhood Stories
Autonomous Marriage
Unplayed Sims should be able to get married entirely on their own, without the player needing to manually orchestrate every relationship. Imagine checking in on a neighborhood after a few weeks and finding that two Sims you never paired up are now happily married. This would breathe life into the game world, allowing family lines to grow naturally and creating those “I didn’t see that coming!” storytelling moments.
Realistic Breakups & Divorce
Just like in real life, not all relationships last forever. Sims should have the ability to autonomously separate or divorce if their relationship deteriorates. This change would allow neighborhoods to have richer, more unpredictable stories — one household might be going through a happy expansion, while another faces the emotional fallout of a breakup.
Moving Out & Creating New Households
Once Sims reach a certain age — particularly teens nearing adulthood or young adults — they should be able to branch out and start lives of their own. This would not only keep the neighborhood evolving but also prevent “stagnant family syndrome,” where multiple generations are stuck living under one roof unless the player intervenes. With this feature, we could see natural generational turnover, more housing market movement, and fresh storylines without player micromanagement.
Joining Other Households
Sometimes life leads people into completely new living arrangements — through marriage, friendship, or other circumstances. Sims should be able to autonomously move in with friends, partners, or extended family members, resulting in more diverse and unexpected household compositions. - cebmarin7 months agoSeasoned Ace

Improved Genetics
Dominant & Recessive Genes – Traits like eye and hair color could follow dominant/recessive logic, allowing rare traits to appear if both parents carry them. Like in Sims 2.
Grandparent Influence – Children could inherit traits that skip a generation, such as a grandparent’s hair, eye color, or facial features.
Updated Hair Color Percentages – In the current system, some eye colors share the same probability. For example, green eyes and hazel eyes have the same chance of being passed down, so a hazel-eyed parent can have a green-eyed child. If this level of detail exists for eyes, the same logic should apply to hair. Hair shades that are close to each other — such as dark blonde ↔ light brown, dark copper ↔ light copper, or dark brown ↔ black — should be interchangeable in inheritance to create more natural and varied results.

Oooh, I hadn't seen this thread before!
I added a few things earlier in separate posts. I'll try and summarise and include links to the full posts 🙂
- Creating, saving and sharing custom Styled Looks
- Create custom styled looks
- Save custom styled looks
- Share custom styled looks to the gallery
- Download and save styled looks from the gallery
- Updates to neighbourhoods and secret lots
- (Not sure how possible) Open neighbourhoods (not open world). Just being able to freely visit all the lots in each neighbourhood without loading screens
- Implement "Edit neighbourhood" button. To allow us to use the Build/Buy catalogue in neighbourhoods to improve the surrounding areas
- Same above for secret locations (Sylvan Glade, Forgotton Grotto, etc) as they are empty, boring and pointless.
- Update the secret lots to make them less boring, empty, and pointless. They haven't been touched since release I don't think.
- Make all rivers/lakes/etc compatible with swimming. Some areas still don't have access to the water.
- Add randomly spawning world events in neighbourhoods
- Ice cream van coming by in summer
- Travelling merchants
- Musicians doing street performances or small festivals
- Random jogging or cycling groups
- Group bonfires
- etc
- Update the Seasons calendar
- Would be nice to be able to select from some festival presets for what you want your sims to celebrate (eg. pagan calendar, Christan calendar, Islamic calendar, etc)
- Options to completely turn off notifications for all the common events (eg; High School Years, Snowy Escape, Cottage living, etc) they get really irritating being so repetative.
- More holiday traditions to pick from when creating or editing an event.
- Creating, saving and sharing custom Styled Looks

Doesn't this already happen with story progression? I had a Harry Potter save that surprised me when I logged in one day, and Voldemort had married Trelawney.

an airplane based kind of pack
looking for some clues and collect them, finding an abandoned airplane and maybe airport when visiting a secret world, 2 or 3 aspirations, having a active career, some kind of informations (similair to mostly the latter worlds) how to find them or something, having new skills that match with that pack idea (maybe the beach similar to Sulani you can find something when clicking on the sand)
i just came up with that idea, the full details is in my own post

my wishlist in basegame
1: more eye and hair colours (especially unnatural ones)
2: more fantasy/unnatural skintones (non-occult sims)
3: more hair types options (curly, afro and long hair to name 3 but there are more hairstyles we are missing)
4: a few basegame worlds (a beach, a snowy beach, desert empty world, groceries and clothes shopping in a new basegame world...with the snowy beach we can make it look like even without seasons similar to Snowy Escape there will always be snow)
5: more rocket gameplay options (just created that topic)
6: secret worlds being visible when in map mode (similar to destination worlds)
7: walls and floors versions similar to The Sims 2
8: lot trait or challenge similar to The Sims 2 both when running out of food (not simple living but similar to this) and clothes kind of trait you need to go shopping to buy more clothes (meaning clothes you're not wearing gets locked untill you buy some certain clothes it gets unlocked) and order food similar to The Sims 2 you either need to use a computer, phone or by like visiting the groceries (we can have a toggle on/off option so it can be optional similar to what they did with the burglar)
9: flowers, trees and grasses you can actually take care of (similar to Enchanted By Nature if not mistaken with plants) similar to The Sims 2
10: a few secret worlds (if a few more basegame worlds get added)
11: accesoires in the new category in the part the fairy pack came out (i meant the ones if you have to choose the hairstyle) and either add a colourwheel or add a few more colours on the accesoires (i created that idea last month if not mistaken)
12: a new world in which you can climb the mountain and make that skill in basegame
13: simology being more organized
14: change the furnitures either similar to The Sims 2 in which you only have to change one colour or the colourwheel similar to The Sims 3 (i'm fine with both)
15: hair colour sliders (similar to make-up and skintones in which you can make them darker/lighter)
16: make everyone SIT at all table when calling everyone for breakfast, lunch and diner (very similar to The Sims 2)
17: more basegame aspirations and a few more traits
18: mixed hair colours hairstyles in other category (both only 1 hair colours and mixed hair colours are in the same category, it's easier to find things if it's in other categories) or atleast add a colourwheel similar to what they did with the fairy wings to paint it to our likings
19: a messy bed when waking up similar to The Sims 2 (what we have right now sounds so robotic your bed is perfect like right away, that's not realistic)
20: an auto-roof similar to The Sims 2
21: the simoleon option so each household can earn money seperately and a setting for the whole household so they can collect money in 1 household (if you want to move out and buy new house, when paying the bill and in buy/build mode to buy new items and furniture, i do think it should be optional though)
22: new category in likes/dislikes and expand the likes/dislikes up to like 150 or so instead of 50
23: adding more household untill like 300 (and by that i mean when it's in the favourite category, you can still have the option to add them up to 200 but i want to add a new option since we have 29 worlds at this moment)
24: add whims back and a toggle on/off option for both "whims" and "wants and fears" and of course to disable both of them (some people loves to have whims while others loves to have wants and fears)
25: add 2 new lifestages "preteen" (between child and teen) and "middle aged" (between adult and elder)
26: less loading screens/open neighbourhood (the lot types in which people lives in can have loading screens, just NOT the community lots)
27: add a travel so you won't have to be in the manage worlds mode (very similar to The Sims 2)
28: hair and eye colours from its grandparents and great-grandparents
29: better genes (the son having mom's face and the daughter having dad's face)
30: split natural and unnatural hair colours in different categories (similar to skintones)
31: split fantasy and realistic eye colours in different categories (similar to skintones)
32: have atleast 3 more trait slots
33: split some lot traits into different category with each their own trait slots:
-skills lot traits
-moodlet lot traits
-better quality lot traits
-normal lot traits34: animal and pet lot traits should be unlimited (similar to lot challenges)
35: eye colour sliders
36: lot challenge in which your house get messed up with damaged furnitures, floors, walls and windows (it can even breaks like broken plates, windows to name something)
37: add 2 or 3 more personality trait slots (if the team ever decides to add more personality traits)
38: make live events in basegame in a basegame update
39: better family trees
i can't think about other things the team can add things for basegame but what do you guys think?

Vechiles playable and NPC makes the town more alive.
I would also like Preteen Lifestage and a Middle Aged Lifestage.
Heterochromia Eyes.
Separate Simolean Account from the household account.
More colorful Braces.
